Why not today?Have we had a game where we’ve scored less than 40. I’ve got a feeling it’s coming soon.
When 3 of your starters are scoreless and act like they are afraid to shoot then you’re probably picking the wrong first five. Why not today?
Last game was our lowest scoring game of the season.Have we had a game where we’ve scored less than 40. I’ve got a feeling it’s coming soon.
Thanks. I just follow along for the drama, not the actual event.Last game was our lowest scoring game of the season.
Moi, aussi.Thanks. I just follow along for the drama, not the actual event.
With better players and better coach...Central Michigan won today, Pritchard had a triple double. Maybe it was the coach more than the player at Tulsa? Oh, this is the Tulsa game thread... my mistake...
That gives you a head start for getting a new staff, because you won’t be considering any of the current assistant coaches.the K era can’t end too soon. A pathetic effort against a mediocre team. Not one player wanted to give the effort to win.
Surely Moore and Carson know it’s time for a change. Now would be better than year end.
I still am not absolutely confident he will get canned this year.the K era can’t end too soon. A pathetic effort against a mediocre team. Not one player wanted to give the effort to win.

He’s doneI still am not absolutely confident he will get canned this year.
It really can't get much worse than this. I mean, it can always get worse (e.g., Konkol's first year), but within the universe of results that TU can realistically have, this is about as bad as it gets. Rice was 3-11 in the AAC and had lost 11 of their last 12, including losses to 3-11 Charlotte and 4-10 UTSA. I naively thought we'd bottomed out but I'm not sure there is a bottom with Konkol.Boy we suck. Really.
The radio crew said we match up better with Tulane than Rice for next game.It really can't get much worse than this. It'll be nice as a fan to see the boys only lose by 12 instead of 21.The radio crew said we match up better with Tulane than Rice for next game.![]()
I'm not either. But not many supporters are going to have any enthusiasm for a fourth Konkol season. This team is almost as poor as his first team. I don't think he can turn it around. If he is retained, I really hope he proves me wrong.I still am not absolutely confident he will get canned this year.
The problem is he could be 50% better and it still wouldn't be enough.I'm not either. But not many supporters are going to have any enthusiasm for a fourth Konkol season. The fact that the current AD rewarded him with that extension just a few months ago is still puzzling. There are many that were weary from the start of this staff. Why not just give an extension. 🤣
I thought that Dickson was responsible for that extension. The fact that the current AD rewarded him with that extension just a few months ago is still puzzling.
Yes, Dickson was the mastermind of that deal.I thought that Dickson was responsible for that extension.
From TulsaHurricane.com on 9/5/2024:I thought that Dickson was responsible for that extension.
Dickson retired in June and Moore announced the extension in September.Yes, Dickson was the mastermind of that deal.
I'm not 100% positive, but I think that decision had already been made before Moore was hired.Dickson retired in June and Moore announced the extension in September.
Yes it was said that Dickson approved and agreed to the extension and left it to Moore to announce. Moore had no reason or knowledge to contradict Dickson at that point.I'm not 100% positive, but I think that decision had already been made before Moore was hired.
All I can say for sure is that the press release only mentions Moore. Even if not originally responsible for this fiasco, it may not be a good look for him to pull it almost immediately after it was put into place.I'm not 100% positive, but I think that decision had already been made before Moore was hired.
Regarding that situation, it was more of the other players (cancers) on that squad and in conjunction with a need to be further away from distractions in the Tulsa area if he was ever to be successful... It was a good move for the kid.Central Michigan won today, Pritchard had a triple double. Maybe it was the coach more than the player at Tulsa? Oh, this is the Tulsa game thread... my mistake...
