Refugees

We've argued a lot on this board about what the policy should be toward refugees out of the Middle East, but I don't think anyone here thinks they don't deserve help. Last summer a friend of mine volunteered on one of the Greek islands and she's heading back over there again next year. Mainly her work consisted of humanitarian aid and programs that help them integrate into countries that are taking them. To me integration efforts are really Important. She's self-funding through donations and is about 1/3 of the way to her goal. Here's her website if anyone is interested in pitching in a few dollars

To ensure their safety and ours, why not set them up in a safe area near their home land, or on an island in the Mediterranean, Hawaii, Caribbean, . . .

Uh I have my own reservations about bringing people over here en masse, but this is just a person volunteering her time to help people in need put their life back together.

I am just stating a fact. Then I ask a question. You obviously have no answer, but feel compelled to call names. You do remind me of my 5 year old grandchild child when he gets into an argument he can't win

Once again this was only meant to give people an opportunity to donate to someone who is doing good work. There's nothing controversial here. If you don't want to that's fine. People have to prioritize where their charity goes. Why turn it into another show thread though?
