One thing that has impressed me with Haith is recruiting, we just signed a pretty legit guy that offers from some pretty good schools. Whether he can develop it is the ? But the pieces are there

Until we can successfully get every local recruit to stay put, I will be somewhat disappointed in recruiting. But unlike some programs, I want it kept clean. Cough, cough . . . . . .SMU.

So much for this thought!

Haith's recruiting has been decent as far as getting game ready transfers goes. His recruiting of HS'ers and JUCO's has been mediocre to subpar at best.

Igbanu and Taplin are going to beat your ass.

Really, dood, give it a rest. This act is tired. Ashvid would have even tapped out by now.

The funniest thing to me is red dirt likes Haith.
Magnay would've beaten his ass...

Tell them they can get in line after Keondre Dew, Kajon Brown, Micah Littlejohn, Travis Atson, and Joseph Battle who were all not helpful to our team. That's 5 scrubs vs 3 decent players (one of whom isn't wasn't on the team for more than a season and left us in a recruiting crisis). BTW that makes for a .375 average on recruiting successful HS players. Less than half of the guys Haith gets from HS are any good.

Am I making Gold sad?

That's is pretty bad. Even below the 08-11 average of .466

Doesn't matter for your point though.
You've criticized everything the man has done since he was first mentioned for the job but, at least have admitted you simply don't like him.

That is absolutely not true. When he first got the job, I was excited that he might bring a new level of recruiting prowess to the job. . To some level that has happened and to some level it hasn't. We've been in on some really good recruits but haven't had much success at landing them.

None of Haith's recruits stand out as head and shoulders better than those we've had in the last 10 years under other coaches. Etou seems to be his best recruit so far and he averaged low double digits in points and a smattering of boards a game on a team that had a losing record. By the time they finish their careers Haith's best could be Taplin or Igbanu but I'm not yet willing to say they are better than guys like Uzoh, Clarkson, Hurtt, Woodard, Harrison, Jerome, or even Idlet . I know those guys played at lower levels for at least a portion of their careers, but a lot of our conference mates are still with us from the C-USA days.

Might as well go out guns blazing. You guys think you'll all say sorry when we let go of Haith in a couple years? That "I told you so" is going to be sweet when it comes.

Everyone's having fun being A-holes now. Let's see how long that lasts.

You, Tugrad06/07, and original Tulsa fan may want to start your own club. You can complain about everything possible all at once. I've never seen TU fans who dislike their own teams as much as that group.

Everybody is in wait and see mode on Haith. So, nothing to apologize for even if he fails. There's just no reason to create an alternate reality where he didn't get us an at-large.

You are throwing in Micah Littlejohn? He wasn't even his recruit. Your beloved DaMann was responsible for that one, he just went ahead and took him.

Didn't have to. He could have grabbed anyone else in that recruiting period. I could throw in Petar Rusic who never ended up playing and that led to us having few options right before fall semester and having to grab Dew.

Well, before Magnay left, I was actually excited for this season as I think Jeffries and Scott have a chance to be pretty good and the two freshman might make Haith's record with HS'ers at Tulsa a bit better. All those positives are still there. But I think Magnay's departure moved this team from a fringe NCAA team to a low end NIT team. Then there's been the 2018 recruiting which has been abysmal. So I'm supposed to be excited about a low end NIT team and poor recruiting? We could have just kept Wojcik in that case.

What's it like to be a turd in the punch bowl 24/7 Aston? You sound pathetic right now. Give it up man.

Nope. I'm not wrong and I don't care if everyone on this board doesn't like what I'm saying because it hurts their feelies.

Hey Aston...you've dug yourself into a hole here.

So, had Magnay not left, you would be really excited about this season? How does that make sense? You can't be excited about any year until Frank leaves isn't that right? I'm just glad to know that Magnay is the maker or breaker of you having faith in the program. It's pathetic, give it up man.

We still are going to be a fringe NCAA team this season, then I have no doubt you'll be silent and wait for the next year to bag on Haith.

So since you say you're not wrong, that officially means you're not wrong? Look dude, I know you've dug yourself a hole and can't really back out of it now, but come on... you have to realize you're going overboard.
Oh I realize that nobody likes me or what I'm saying. What I can't quite figure out, is why everyone thinks I'm wrong about what I'm saying. Haith and staff have recruited transfers well and HS'ers poorly? That's right.

Haith's on the floor coaching has left something to be desired. Like not losing to Scott Sutton every time he's played him, or not getting blown out by a Memphis team (2x) led by Josh Pastner; that had given up on their season weeks before, or blowing an overtime game against Temple by mismanaging the timeout / possession situation. We could have been squarely in the first round of the tournament in Haith's second season as a decently seeded team after beating WSU + SMU. We were lucky to be included at all. That's right too.

Wait.

Did we or did we not beat ORU at ORU last season?

You have ZERO credibility. NONE.

My bad. You're right and then Sutton got fired for losing to Haith. lol (Yes, I know it was a lot more than that. I just think it's funny)

Keep being an A-hole.
ITS Message Board Grudge Match....Saturday, 1pm, new "U" before the homecoming game. They'll even have a stage right in front of the fountain. I expect all the posters here to be there to watch this epic throwdown...and then y'all can enjoy a nasty hot dog from the alumni tent afterwards!

Not going to be in town this year. Saving vaca for an extended honeymoon.

To me, this season will kind of tell us if Haith is going to work out , if we end up being about what we were last year or worse, I say he won't work out. If he ends up being in or at least being in the discussion for the NCAA, I think he will do great at TU from now on because I think he can recruit pretty well

This is fair.
