I know how some of you guys like to try some new places, so I thought I pass along a place I stumbled across recently.
Have any of you heard of Ike's, down in Okmulgee?
No, it isn't related to Ike's Chili here in Tulsa.
It is sort of a Pub, I guess. At least that's how it comes off.
I have been twice and had the Chicken Fried Steak, and the Smoked Porkloin.
The servings are very generous. the CFS was a good 8-10" in diameter, and is as good as any that I have had. And that includes Nelson's. Urban spoon has a review up on their website, and gave them 4.5 stars.
But I highly reccommend the Smoked Porkloin or the Ribeye. Best stuff anywhere!!!
They are right across the street from the courthouse downtown Okmulgee. Sort of a quiet place, tucked away in an old storefront.
If you are in that area, it is really worth the effort. they are open Thursday thru Sunday, so a weekend trip would be really easy to fit into your schedule.
Give em a try. You won't be disappointed.
