Its hard to believe that after an entire season, it comes down to one game.
We used to be big bubble followers back in the day. I don't think I've ever scene a scenario like this. It almost doesn't matter what Illinois St does against NIU. Or any other bubble teams for that matter.
Win today and there is literally no chance they can leave us out.
Lose today and there is literally no chance we can get an at-large.
I'm not an absolutist, so I'll say 98% in both cases.
No way they could leave out a team that finished 1st in a league that would get for certain 3 bids and likely 4. On the flip side, lose this and our resume would be such that there is little chance we could beat out other at-large teams. the OOC resume would just be impossible to overcome.
I hope we come out loose and we can shoot a little better than are season stats in FG%, FT%, 3FG%. We for certain can't shoot less than our season averages in these categories (like Cincy).
If we come out tight and score a point a minute for 75% of the game, its going to be another painful game to watch.
