Even though I think our season is slowly going down the drain, this is a winnable game, and let's be honest, a win over the school in Stillwater won't fix things, but it will sure give us something to smile about. So be at the game Wednesday, and try to not make it look like OSU is the home team.

Win these two and it’s back on track. Cut the crap
I hope your right, but as usual, probably not. You scream and belittle people anytime they don't share the same opinion as you, i know you moan about Original Tulsa Fan being too negative alot, but is not any better to be an extremist the other way either

Not sure that’s true even if it is a possibility. OSU would need to be a tourney team. One win against a tournament team won’t get us in.

5 true freshmen and 7 newcomers in the top ten players. Don’t see a tourney team in Stillwater until next season.

That’s what I’m saying. Beating KState and OSU with losses to what looks like a mediocre Utah squad and a 3rd place valley team isn’t enough to get in the tourney. Even with a win against a team like Cincy or Houston in league play. I think our avenues to an at large now depend on beating OSU + KSU + Dayton. All three are must wins now.

KState is probably the only tourney team out of those three. Sweep the remaining OOC then finish in the top 3 in conference and we’re likely in imo. Unfortunately, this team has yet to show me that such results are likely. Still believe the talent and especially the experience is there to turn this thing around.

Agreed, and not losing to lower tier conference teams. We need to win every home game imo

Looks like maybe 500-1000 tickets left on the website. Hopefully it's still a home game for us

There’s at least a couple thousand individual tickets available, plus several hundred that are held for the 5 game mini packs.

I don’t expect a big crowd for OSU. It’s still football season over there and they’ve got their first Liberty Bowl to plan for.

This should not be a 0-18 open 3s team. Too many capable shooters.

BTW who was Scott so shy to shoot a 3?

For posters & lurkers who don’t have TU season tickets: if you are going to go to any TU home game this season, make it Wednesday night.

Wear blue, get off your backside & yell loud!

really surprised. That means Vegas likes State by 1 on a neutral court.

I'll be cheering on the Cane , but unless we shoot 35 -45% on our three point shots we will be in for a rough night .

Winning this game is very important to turnaround the rocky start and try to get the season on track. The RPI and NET ratings have some meaning to them at this point, and Okie State would be the best win we have. Looking at our future schedule, it also appears Okie State is a decent analogue for the upper half of the AAC.

If we can't handle this Oklahoma State at home, I'm going to need some duct tape to keep those blue and gold glasses on my face.

Utah game was absolutely horrendous shooting in the first half . Tulsa needs a guard that can average 15-18 points a game...not one player that occasionally scores 25 one game then 6 points the next game. In other words, a Shea Seals, Gary Collier, Steve Harris and whoever else comes to mind , someone consistent and dependable.

Nice analysis and way of looking at this game. It is interesting that according to the NET the California Baptist win is now TU's best.

The ole Cowboys are way way better shooters, and are great in transition.

44% from 3 is nuts.

Unfortunately, OSU fairly comfortably.

I wish the good guys were better!

Can we call a truce on all the negativity? We just won a hard fought game against an in-state rival. Let’s all just relax and enjoy it together.

Wow. The first time I’ve been called a dbag.

No “crickets here”...I posted earlier in the “Game Thoughts Thread”.

Regardless...I’ll take it. And I’m glad for the win...definitely was pleasantly surprised.

He has problems, wouldn't give it any thought, you did nothing wrong.

AH If you’re posting on this board I love you all. Just happy to beat those assholes last night and ready to do it again Saturday!

Announced attendance was a little over 7100. Not bad at all (although it should be a sellout). I’m hoping some casual fans made it to the game and were able to enjoy themselves and come back!

Transition defense was pretty darn great last night

Same w FTs

3 keys to win most games:
1. Make your free throws —particularly front ends of one and ones
2. Box out your man
3. Get back on defense - eliminate easy buckets

Easy game
Fun game

A win like this is huge for attracting and keeping some casual fans. Far too often we’ve let a big game get away and have the fans leave the stadium or gym shaking their heads and muttering “Same old Tulsa”.

Completely agree. If we can get a win Saturday it could really help to build more fans. We need to win out in non conference
