OK: civil forfeiture makes national news

I hate civil forfeiture laws in general as they are a violation of our basic civil liberties imo. The standard in Oklahoma is a preponderance of the evidence and that lies in the middle of the states as far as standards. $4.2 Billion was seized in the U.S. in 2012 under these laws. Getting seized property back has proven problematic for many citizens due to the aforementioned standard and incentive for law enforcement to keep those assets. Oklahoma is no worse than most states or the Feds imo when it comes to these type of seizures.
