I know Memphis is tough at home and they are due for a win, but I like our chances here. They have a couple of great players but we gave them fits. Hope we figured out how to beat the press when Taplin is out of the game because you know they are going to do that.

After predicting that we win 2 out of three, I think I'm out of the prediction game...

I thought I had seen bad basketball when I took NJ to see the thunder vs the bulls... but that was topped by our performance vs cincy....

That was not the same team from a week ago...

I know they are young.. I've said that before.. I still think the team has the chance to be special.. but, I guess I'm just tempering my enthusiasm....

I had people looking at me funny at the thunder game the other night because I was cheering at the wrong times as I followed the progress of the cincy game... I really thought the SMU game would be closer, especially since they only had a six man rotation compared to our bench.. but we showed no fight.. perhaps it was fatigue..

I am looking for a turnaround game against Memphis... it could be the game that determines if we play in a post season tournament or not.

I like 'em too. Had TU held on for the win v. Cincy, Smoo would have been in a much tougher game. Yeah, I know, Smoo is very good, blah, blah, blah. Their blowout win against us was more about TU's mental state than how much superior they are.

TU's had a few days & good practices to get their heads straight & Memphis will be in a tussle.

It's the same issue as last time for Memphis. We have 7 kids with our starting center Chad Rykhoek [6'11'' 6pts 3reb per game] out and only 3 kids who are over 6'6''. They have talent, but they wear down and start getting out rebounded. They play a little better at home, but this two game home stand of Tulsa and Temple will tell the tale for my Tigers.

We need to play with the same intensity/confidence we had been playing with when we were on that 4 game win streak. Taplin, Henderson, and Magnay need to reappear. Memphis will be looking for revenge so they'll be playing with high energy, we'll need to match it.

Yeah, both teams are going to be fired up after their losses. I just wish this game was at home. Memphis has only lost once in conference this season. That was to SMU by 4.
