SALT LAKE CITY — BYU basketball will be one of four teams to play in the first session of the 2020 men’s Junkanoo Jam, the school announced Wednesday.

The Cougars will play Boston College, George Mason and Tulsa in a round-robin tournament on the island of Bimini in the Bahamas from Nov. 17-21.

The teams participating in the second men’s sessions as well as the women’s tournament will be announced later.

Barrister is going - junkanoo jam must be some kind of kinky adventure in the islands! Will Gary Hart and Donna Rice be there? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Crap. I'm stuck going to NYC for Macy's. Doubt I will be able to swing a side trip to the Bahamas before that one

A lot of factors will play into it but I’m seriously thinking of going. It will be an expensive trip but I’ve never been to the Bahamas. If we can shore up the interior we should be favored to win.

OK. Maybe the ITS concierge can make arrangements. Maybe Levit will spring for a charter for you. You should totally ask.

I dont know..BYU is dang good. I'm not sure if they're losing much experience or not next season but I think they'll make alittle noise in the tourney this year

Eh. They've got a 40 year old shooting guard. Pretty sure he needs to get a real job next year to support his 4 wives

I’m in Utah right now. I believe your post.

The question is whether our new coach will still run a junk defense.

Not sure it matters. If Hawes is still there, that dude has pretty unlimited range and can shoot with 3 hands in his face. I know I poke fun at him and BYU, but he can really shoot.

Ok so their 2 best guys, Hawes and childs are both seniors. Childs averages 21 ppg and Hawes averages 14. So with them gone it's very much up for grabs
