Income inequality..did Obama help?

An entire article on Obama's record on income inequality and not one mention of the actual numbers attributed to his presidency on the issue from his time in office. Bravo Krugman...bravo. Another highly informative article

He should start with golf. Their shameful pay scale gives more to the best score. Everyone should receive the same regardless of who is the best.

You weren't kidding, Poke.

The OT change won't materially increase income. Base incomes will be reduced to make up for it or bumped slightly if close to the threshold to avoid the OT. Or hours reduced.

It's just never that simple. The market is efficient and will find work arounds to artificial price control.

Also, salaried jobs sometimes come with some advantages. More flexibility in taking off for personal business, sometimes better benefits. When we talk about overtime, don't forget undertime. Undertime is when you get docked. Another issue is union membership.

I agree that the current limit for the transition from hourly to salaried it too low but I think a more moderate or phased in transition would benefit those involved.
