How about some Football talk

So true man!
The kids I coached are sophomores at Owasso. Only Kelan is doing much right now but, I suspect that will change. And, I didn’t coach him directly. His skills are on him and his dad.

Watching a kid put into action something you taught them and they busted their ass to get is the best. That moment when it all clicks together. It looks great as a highlight, but when you know the work and commitment they put into it over and over again to get it right when it counted, that is priceless for both the player and the coach.

That’s true. There’s one kid that I coached all the way back to first grade flag 10 years ago. He got his first varsity sack last week and his 2nd tonight.

Worth the price of admission.

One quick comment on youth/prep sports.

For those of you with little ones, if they show any interest in team sports please consider volunteering some time to coach a team. It does make a difference in these kids lives.

Tonight, two of the young men that I helped coach when they were youngsters made some of the biggest plays of the game and I was almost as excited for them as their parents were. The games do take on a special significance when you personally know some of the players.

One big win this weekend and one to go.

And you guys are going to like Tulsa commit Hayden Grant. He’s feisty.

Go TU

Good words, friend. Leave it to the diet rite to get you in the rite state of mind :D
