• Tulsa will continue conference play with at 6 p.m. matchup against Cincinnati on Thursday, Jan. 10 at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
• The Bearcats lead the all-time series, 26-12, and they have won each of the last four meetings. Tulsa's last win in the series came on Feb. 18, 2016, when the Hurricane took a 70-68 victory in overtime at the Reynolds Center. TU is 8-9 all-time against the Bearcats in Tulsa.
• Tulsa is coming off a 78-75 win over USF on Saturday night at the Reynolds Center. DaQuan Jeffries led the way with 20 points and Curran Scott broke a 75-all tie with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer for the victory.
• With 73 assists this season, Sterling Taplin has moved to sixth place on the program's all-time charts with 348. Taplin needs 41 assists to pass current TU assistant coach Shea Seals (1993-1997) and move into the top five on the list.
DaQuan Jeffries leads the team in scoring at 13.8 ppg and he is second in rebounding at 5.7 rpg. Jeffries has led the team in scoring seven times, including a season-high 24 points in a win over UT Arlington (Nov. 27)
• Tulsa has won 15 consecutive home games and 24 of its last 26 contests at the Reynolds Center dating back to last season. That streak is tied for the 10th-longest active home winning streak in Division I.
• TU has notched 47 league wins since joining The American, which ranks third behind only Cincinnati (58) and SMU (53) during that span (2014-present).
• Tulsa was picked to finish ninth in The American Preseason Poll. TU has finished better than its preseason prediction in all four seasons under head coach Frank Haith.
• With a 10-3 non-conference record, Tulsa had its best start under head coach Frank Haith. The Hurricane registered 10 wins before the start of league play for the first time since 2009-10.

The Game
• Tulsa will continue American Athletic Conference play at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10 when it will host Cincinnati at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
• The game can be seen on ESPN2, while fans in the Tulsa area can tune to Big Country 99.5 FM with Bruce Howard and former Hurricane player J.R. Rollo on the call. Live audio from the game also can be found by using the TuneIn app.

Scouting the Bearcats
• Cincinnati was picked to finish second in The American as the team returns a pair of starters and 11 letterwinners from last year's squad, which went 31-5 and won the league's regular season and tournament titles.
• The Bearcats come into Thursday's game with a 12-3 overall record and 1-1 conference mark. UC opened conference play with a 93-61 home win over Tulane before a 73-71 setback at ECU last weekend.
• Jarron Cumberland leads the way at 16.7 ppg. He is the team's top 3-point shooter with 37 makes and a .468 shooting percentage behind the arc.
• Cincinnati ranks seventh in the nation in scoring defense as the team allows an average of just 59.2 ppg. Four of its last five opponents have scored at least 60 points.
• The Bearcats have been one of the nation's best teams at taking care of the ball as their 10.7 turnovers per game ranks 14th in Division I. Justin Jenifer leads the way with an NCAA-leading 10.17 assist-to-turnover ratio.

The Series
• Thursday's matchup marks the 39th all-time meeting between Tulsa and Cincinnati. The Bearcats lead the series 26-12 and have won four straight and six of the last seven contests.
• TU is 8-9 against the Bearcats in Tulsa. Its last win in the series came on Feb. 18, 2016.

Last Meeting
Junior Etou scored a game-high 21 points, but No. 11 Cincinnati went on a 27-6 second-half run and held off visiting Tulsa for an 82-74 win on Feb. 25, 2018, at BB&T Arena.
• Playing without injured point guard Sterling Taplin, Tulsa led 47-44 at halftime after outscoring the Bearcats 12-2 over the final 4:20 of the first half.
• Tulsa led 52-44 early in the second half before Cincinnati went on its 27-6 run to take the lead for good.
• The Hurricane pulled within six with 4:41 to play, but would get no closer in the 82-74 defeat.

A Tulsa Win Would ...
• Improve Tulsa's record to 12-4 on the season and bring its conference record to 2-1.
• Would give the Hurricane its first win over the Bearcats since Feb. 18, 2016.
• Improve Tulsa's all-time record against Cincinnati to 13-26.
• Improve Tulsa's home record to 10-0 this season and give the team its 25th win in its last 27 games at home.
• Extend Tulsa's home winning streak to 16 games dating back to last season.

Last Time Out
Curran Scott finished with 11 points, including a 3-pointer at the final buzzer to give Tulsa a 78-75 win over USF last Saturday night at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
Martins Igbanu and Sterling Taplin each added 15 points and Tulsa shot 50-percent in the second half.
• The Hurricane led by as much as 11 in the second half and held a nine-point edge with 1:12 to play. However, the Bulls knotted the score at 75 with 4.4 seconds left on David Collins' 3-pointer, setting the stage for Scott's game-winner.

Trending
• Tulsa is 9-1 when DaQuan Jeffries scores in double-figures. The squad is 2-3 when he does not.
Martins Igbanu has shot 50-percent or better from the floor in all but two games this season (at Utah, Dec. 1; vs. USF, Jan. 5). He leads the team with a .586 (68-of-116) field goal percentage for the season.
• Tulsa allowed an opponent season-high of 56.8-percent shooting in its loss to Southern Illinois. In the nine games since, TU opponents are shooting just 38.3-percent (210-of-547) from the floor.
• Only four of Tulsa's last nine opponents have shot better than 40-percent. Four of TU's last six opponents have been held to 35.7-percent shooting or less.

Nothing But NET
• Tulsa entered conference play with an NCAA NET ranking inside the top 100 and had a ranking of 75th as of Jan. 8. The Golden Hurricane will face a tough stretch to start play in The American, as the first half of its 18-game league schedule will see the team play seven games against teams currently ranked in the top 100.
• The Hurricane will get two games against Houston (No. 4) and Cincinnati (No. 34) during the stretch along with matchups against UCF (No. 31), Memphis (No. 73) and USF (No. 92).
• All nine of Tulsa's opponents in that span are ranked in the top 125 as UConn ranks 111th, while SMU is No. 122.
