ITS A GREAT DAY TO BE A TULSA FAN!!

Yep I know we lost and yep I know we lost badly. I am here to say that I am proud of the way the guys played this season. not every play and not every game but a season as a whole. we won 21 games and look to have a good chance at being in the NIT. Its not the dance but after being picked to finish 10th out of 12 and having a conference title I am happy if it is just the NIT.

That said..THE SEASON ISNT OVER!!!!! We have the Confernce Tournament to attend. I will admit when I am wrong but I went off bad information so we will face the winner of Memphis vs ECU and we know who should win that game. IF we win that one then we play whoever comes out of the Houston game. Then we look at playing Cincinnati or Wichita State in the Finals.

No team in this conference plays good on the road..NONE OF THEM. This will be a true road game for every team in the league as this is a new arena. That said The finals could be us and Tulane for the title. Do not sleep on some of these teams. They might get hot on you and bury you in this tournament.

I will be out of town for the tournament and in classes for work the next two days so I might not be making posts for a while. I will tell you though I have enjoyed immensely making these posts and being more engaged with the other conferneces then I normally am. During the tournament I will be in New York and so I will be watching the replays since it will be on the ESPN app so I have to stay off the boards so I don't know who won.

Last thing, I will be doing another bracket challenge again this year like I did last year. When I set the bracket up I will post the link so that you can join. You will only get one bracket to pick from.

Till then I look forward to the tournament and as always GO TU!!!!!!!

If ORU can get past NDSU tonight, they'll be the favorites to win the title on Tuesday.

Watch ORU be the one team in the state to go dancing this year...

You’re correct, in that there are a number of teams that can win the tourney. In the Missouri Valley Tournament, 3 of the top 4 seeds lost in the quarterfinals. #4 Bradley won the tournament.

In the latest edition of we don't know where we are going, good ole Lunardi has us in the "Next Four Out" and sitting on the Bubble. Get that championship game and this might be a possibility.

We probably still need to win our tourney, but if we get lucky and a bunch of the other bubble teams exit early, neutral court wins against Memphis and Houston might be enough for us to sneak in.

Oru is done lost by 6 tonight season over. I still think we shouldn’t play them unless at our place with new net this is a Lose Lise game they will never be rated under 100 net

That's not actually how the net works and yes they will struggle to finish top 100 but will usually be better than 150 and in good years sub 120 so away games would be quad 2.

It's good for the city and for local basketball that we play. We want to build that sort of base. As long as we win it will be fine. Especially if we beat the brakes off them because it will boost our efficiency.

The net is made to benefit the Syracuses and Penn Sts of the world. Buy a ton of home games ooc, win big. Play good conference teams close and beat the bad ones, slide in with a .500ish conference record touting a high net number and multiple q1 and q2 wins but not necessarily having a good win percentage in those games.
