I do hope all of you have a great Valentine's Day with your loved ones today. We have had to spend more time with them then we wanted to over the last year due to COVID. So today is the day to embrace it and put aside all of the stuff that irritates you until tomorrow and then bring it back out. lol. Seriously I hope all have a great day.
On with today's senseless ramblings from me. We have two games that are postponed today
Memphis at Houston has been postponed due to COVID on the Tigers program. Was really looking forward to Memphis losing this game in the seeding talk.
Wichita State at SMU has been postponed, AGAIN, due to contact tracing on the Mustangs program. I was really looking forward to a Shocker win in this one due to the seeding talk.
Today the UCF Knights are in Cincinnati at noon. In the seeding talk we need UCF to pull out this win. Cincinnati only has played 8 games and are 4-4 in conference which after the math only puts them a half game in front of us. A loss will pull them even with us mathematically. With only a couple weeks left in the regular season if the COVID and contact tracing isn't contained we might start seeing more cancellations of games. This will be vital in the seeding push as I see it.
Our Quad results are going south fast. We are going to need some strategic wins before the tourney. I say this due to one of my questions from yesterday if teams get dropped from the NCAA due to covid or contact tracing.
