ITS GAME DAY!!!

Today Tulsa takes on Loyola Marymount from the West Coast Conference at the Reynolds Center. Lets get back to winning some games.

Today is also the 80th Anniversary of the Bombing of Pearl Harbor. This is also the day that the USS Oklahoma was capsized by torpedoes and sank into the mud. The ship was later righted and taken to dry dock when it was decommissioned in 1944.

I have changed up the look of information that I have here. Hope it is useful for you.

No really big games of note but potential to have those that we played move up in the NET. The only big mover was Air Force moving up 13 spots.

Some school you have never heard of with as much talent as rhema bible schools team has will out rebound us by 50 rebounds no matter that they are 6 inches shorter and hit 60.% from the 3 point when their season average coming in is 10% and we will struggle and lose in the end. The NET gives TU no credit for beating Oregon State early when that team had lost narrowly to highly rated Iowa State
I am still hopeful that W will pay off as Ore State wins home gains in the pac 12

Do still feel my prediction of the game except the 3 point shooting by lmu which was dismal but the rebounding was correct in that they out rebounded us and the losing in the final minutes of the game due to Haiths late game non adjustments?

There are no games today.

I have updated spreadsheets with the current data.

In Conference SMU and Tulsa had the biggest Jumps SMU went up 13 after beating Dayton. Tulsa went down 10 after Air Force was manhandled by Montana 66-48 on the road. Air Force dropped 48 spots in the ranking.

Out of Conference Utah took a big fall dropping 21 spots while idle

I appreciate you doing this every year but at 4-5 and us losing to 3 absolute dregs (Air Force, ORU, LMU), I'm tapping out of TU basketball for this year. I don't have any interest in watching games that get me riled up about how incompetent the coaching staff of this team is. I'm pretty sure I can teach 12 year olds to play defense and rebound more effectively than this team.

I watched the wide open corner three that killed us near the end about 10 times in slow motion. That was the worst defense I have ever seen from a Division 1 team.

There are two games today. The only interesting one will be Murray State at Memphis at 7 p.m. They are NET even for the most part. Should be a good game.

Only big mover is LMU went down 11. Houston went to number 3 after Purdue lost at the buzzer to Rutgers.

This is some of the things I thought of while doing today’s

1. Man it’s a small day and tomorrow is going to be a bigger one.

2. Need to plan ahead to make sure I don’t overload the board.

3. glad I only copy and past from the spreadsheet into this word doc as entering it manually like I did 3 years ago would suck

4. How many “ why bothers” or “I don’t cares” am I going to get today. Don’t really care as I really enjoy it and it makes me more engaged with the rest of the landscape

6. WTF!!! WE LOST GILLESPIE!! CALLING NEVADA ON THIS!!! BOY IM FUMING!!

7. I should be working and not doing this

8. Need to ponder ways to make this better and more informative

9. I just don’t understand why we haven’t put it together. Hopefully this weekend we will turn it around
