ITS GAME DAY!!!!!!

Finally the Men make it back to the hardwood. Today we start conference play against the SMOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Me don’t like the SMOO! With them as a 79 NET and us still in the 200’s, this will be a good win for us. SMU has 3 losses. These are to Oregon, Missouri and Loyola Marymount. The last two were close losses. Oregon was a beating. The best win they have would be against Vanderbilt and Dayton IMO.

Conference play starts across the board today. Wichita State travels to East Carolina and Memphis Travels to Tulane.

Temple and Villanova has been postponed due to COVID on Temple. They plan on making the game up later.

South Florida has cancelled their game against Mississippi Valley State. Apparently they tried to find a replacement team but was unable. Their next game is on January 1 to start conference play.

I am ready to lose Houston as the conference are treating them like they are Alabama Football. I say this because on Sunday the game was cancelled, and Cincinnati was getting the win due to forfeit and then two days later they are saying well lets change the protocol on this. If this was Tulsa vs East Carolina, they would be like “Oh Well! You know the guidelines”. Im just saying.

I’m with you on your “and 1” today. They had a policy in place that made sense, you can’t play then you forfeit, to change that after the fact to benefit a certain team is ridiculous. I thought all this counting games played to see if you’re eligible to play post-season was over. It should be if you play you have a chance to win, if you dot play you lose.

I would really like to know what happened in the last two minutes of that game last night. I need it to make sense. We could have had that game in the last two minutes we could have put them away and SMU gave us every opportunity. The good news though is the guys got back into a game after having 2 games cancelled. We also only went down 9 spots in the NET. If we had won we probably would have went up 15 spots. Oh well, it didn’t happen. Next game is Tuesday at Memphis.

Memphis lost by 1 to Tulane last night. Tulane led most of the game and almost squandered it at the end.

There is one Postponement and that is Rhode Island and Dayton due to COVID in the Rams program.

Big game for UCF today as Michigan comes to Orlando.

Apparently all of the conferences are changing their stance regarding the forfeiture policy that they had in place at the beginning of the season. They are all now changing the policy to allow postponemnts and rescheduling of conference games only. I am sure that is due to the Omicrom numbers going up or maybe we just have a whole bunch of undisciplined people in these programs.

I would still like to know what is up with Haywood.

All of the teams won by double digits yesterday and that included Oregon State Molly whopping Utah. Can you believe that. Due to all of this success we moved up 5 spots in the rankings.

I dont get political on here and I wont today either. This has been a very trying year for me. I speak this "And 1" from a veterans perspective. From the Capitol issue in January, the taliban taking over afghanistan coupled with the botched pull out of troops to the Omicrom affecting sports this fall. To me leaving my job to take another one in two weeks. My emotions have been everywhere. This is the place I take solace to talk about what I am passionate about and to keep myself focused on things that dont make my severe anxiety and depression go off the charts.

I wish everyone on here a Happy New year and a safe one at that. Heres to 2022.

FWIW, I think your posting and positivity brings a lot of entertainment and pleasure to the people on here, me for sure, in a time where we all need it, if that makes it feel a little more worthwhile, too. I'm currently stuck quarantining (ugh, happy new year) so having stuff to engage with helps a lot.

That said, if you can talk about TU sports this year without getting severe anxiety and depression, you need to teach the rest of us your secret! I'm worried drboobay and II might end up with coronaries if Frank doesn't get his $hit together soon!
