Games of Interest (1.9.21 - 1.12.21) UCF has COVID edition

Watching this SMU and Temple game, both of these team are easily beatable. SMU up by 3 at half due to a crazy shot and lack of defense

DOn't forget KJ had one of those in the NIT run against Minnesota.

I believe when he was asked about it, he brought up having Cooley do that to him in practice. His ability to elevate was absurd and he got up so fast, it looked like levitation sometimes.

One voter from the AAC Ron Hunter from Tulane.

GO TU!!!!

Just stack wins and votes will follow, the conference gets enough attention that we don't have to worry too much about it if we deserve the ranking, little different than in football.

Another question, if a team can’t get to 13 games, the threshold for the NCAA tournament, will they be allowed in the conference tournament?

Ooooo another good question
Seeing as how all they have to do is go 1 over their current rate of played games,(4 played, 4 not played has to turn into 9 played 7 not played) I'm assuming they will do it. But you never know up their in the Bermuda Triangle states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, & Delaware.

I guess if your in a BIG 6 conference (SEC, Big 10, Big 12, PAC 12, Big East or ACC) that they will bend the rules due to COVID
The Big East should not be considered a Big 6 conference. Villanova and Creighton are about the only teams worth anything. Honestly there's not more in that conference than the AAC has really. Good top 4. The bottom 2/3 is pretty bad. AAC probably has 2 more teams at higher quality than the next 2 in the Big East. Plus, they will never really be the Big East to me. That conference died when Syracuse and Boston College left. Heck the of the original teams in the conference, only Villanova is any good. Providence, Georgetown, St. John's are all terrible, Seton Hall is not much better.

And UCONN can go suck on Kevin's Ollie for all I care

I so wish we played UConn this year. I'd love to shove a loss in their column.

Lunardi now has Houston as the AQ for the AAC since they have the best record. He forgets we beat them. We are not even on the bubble. Early losses to TCU, South Carolina and Wichita still need to be overcome.

This is what I have trouble understanding from the bracketologists every year. How is a team that’s a 12 seed as an autobid not a bubble team without the autobid?

Again this is Lunardi before the final bracket. He can't fit all the p5 teams in he needs for clicks on bracketology if keeps us in.

I usually start trying to find a consensus around the end of January as that is a much more likely to have some accuracy. That's why that bracket matrix was/is so great kind of put it all in one place. I used its overall bracket and then compared to the three or four most accurate individuals to get the top 70ish teams for tourney and bubble.
