ITS GAME DAY!!!
Memphis is coming into the building, hopefully to take another loss. Tulsa and Wichita State are still the only American Conference teams without a conference win. As we researched earlier the longest, most recent Losing streak to open a conference season was the 2004-2005 team where we opened with 6 conference losses. We are going for number 6 today if we don’t stave off the Tigers.
Wichita State was supposed to play today but their game was postponed against SMU due to COVID on the Ponies.

Former player spotlight. Elijah Joiner is with the Iona Gaels. He is their third leading scorer averaging 11.0 points a game and has missed 3 games. He is averaging 40.9 percent from the field, 72.5 percent from Free Throw line and 23.5 percent from beyond the arc.
