Funny you mention that....in watching the ESPN ticker on scores yesterday I seriously got confused for a second:

South Dakota played at North Dakota State
North Dakota played at South Dakota State

and the ticker had those games listed back to back.

I think you're right in terms of what Memphis likes to do offensively which seems to be a lot of iso 1v1 NBA style. Where the zone will hurt us against Memphis is in rebounding and Memphis is a lot like Houston and Cincy in that regard...really aggressive on the offensive glass.

One thing that I think we do have an advantage is our ability to get defensive numbers back. Memphis isn't really patient. They want to get up and down but they make dumb mistakes with the ball on the break at times, especially when the break really isn't there. I also think Memphis tends to lose focus when it comes to getting back defensively against a team that generates a decent amount of steals. IF we are able to keep this game within a few points with 5-6 minutes to go, I would actually expect us to go on a decent run to end the game as Memphis presses the issue. Our break is pretty solid.

And I'm not convinced Penny could out coach Kevin Ollie right now. He seems to do OK when it comes to beating teams because he just has the better players but when it comes down to needing to make an on the fly adjustment for his team, I haven't seen it yet.

Well we should jump them Sunday morning after we beat Tulane and Villanova destroys UConn. Remember it’s a ranking and not a rating. 4 teams got good enough wins to move up ahead of us for yesterday. I still don’t think we are in a bad position.
