It’s honestly just incredible how Ron Hunter is turning Tulane around so quickly. Would be nice to have a coach like him...

He’s got a Lawson on his squad too. They’ve got the tall Zhang kid who is a nice player. They had some kids who had potential, I just don’t think they responded to Dunleavy very well. Hunter is a different type of coach and is built for the college game.

Temple just isn’t very good.

Below is the list of the teams that won their game today. We had a couple of upsets with Tulane beating Temple and ECU beating the SMOO

The other GOI games didn't fair well for us but beating Houston I good enough for me today.

I would have made a new post. But I am traveling for a funeral. I can’t believe they only moved up six spots

Looks like ya gotta win on the road to get a good bump.

And not have the rest of the teams you already played stink it up. That Temple loss was probably a -3 or -4 for us all by itself. Remember there are all kinds of ropes and pullies trying to raise or lower us at the same time

Yes, what in the world has happened to Temple? Chemistry issues? They have fallen off the cliff.
Coaching. McKie is not Dunphy and hasn't had the extraordinary experience coaching games that Dunphy had. Ollie had the same issues at UCONN. Former great players don't always make great coaches. They may know x's and o's but not be able to recruit or put teams together. They may be able to convince anyone to come to podunkville U but not be able to coach his way out of a paper lunch bag. It'd be like dropping TU's basketball program in Shea's lap right now. We have no idea how that would turn out.

And Shizz Alston finally graduated after what seemed like 15 years of always being there, always scoring 16 and grabbing 8 rebounds.

Shocked. UCF has not been good in the games I've watched. Tulane is likely a pretty immature team still but Hunter will get that fixed. He is a legit coach.
I was shocked as well. Since we got Tulane Saturday in New Orleans, it is making me hopeful for this road trip

I think we'll see Tulane with some growing pains. They'll have their ups and downs as Hunter gets things figured out for them. Tulane is not going to be any fun to play in the future though.

I was thinking a win at Temple was a real possibility but after beating Wichita State by 12 last night, it might be a difficult task.

I think that any AAC team can beat any other on a given night. It will take maximum effort to win in this conference.

Maximum and consistent.
Our effort varies too much. Even half to half.
That said, I don’t think there is a team in the AAC we can’t beat... or lose to.

If we had gotten waivers for our guys, we would easily be competing for the championship.

ECU almost beat Wichita State in Wichita. I still say they are the best team in the American but they are beatable

WD, those are some truth statements. I totally agree with each one.
