Friday AAC tournament games

Cinci should totally have won this by 10, guys.

Little Mick looks like he's about to cry. I hope this eliminates Cincy but probably not.

well... now I am starting to think Tulsa must win it all... damn it.

one game at a time....

Really? What good wins do they have, other than SMU at home. I honestly don't know after looking at their schedule,

Yes muxed feelings. Happy to see Cronin lose but Uconn loss was probably better for us. Not really sure though.

So, I didn't get to watch the 3rd and 4th OTs. Um....maybe signing to sell my house could have been put off a couple more days. Ugh. That's crazy!

I think a great game like this 4OT classic , raises the perception (eye test) of our conference. I couldn't bring myself to root for Cincinnati. I was glad to see them lose.

I thought the path to an autobid for TU was better with Cincy winning. Now, I think Cincy is still in, UConn is in PERHAPS if UConn beats Temple, and Temple is in PERHAPS if Temple beats UConn. I just would be shocked with the number of bubble teams that the AAC will get 4 teams in. It's easy to leave TU out if TU beats Memphis and Houston but loses to Temple/UConn. Temple has a 60 RPI and everyone forgets that Temple only played SMU once at home. Temple might be the odd team out if the final is UConn/TU.

Of course, all of this is moot unless TU wins tonight. I have no idea why the line jumped from 3 to 5 this PM. That is very unusual. Is there a suspension or injury for Memphis we don't yet know about but the betting community does?

I heard the line jumped when Vegas heard the rumor that Pastner would actually try to coach his team tonight.

I think that with the win UCONN joins Cincy in the tourney. I also think this means TU has to win it all. I think it will be Cincy, 9-11 seed, UCONN, 11seed, and the tourney winner if it isn't UCONN.

We are batting about .192 when rooting for bubble teams to lose. I guess we just need to win three and force them to take us. Do you think ESPN could still keep us out if we win the tournament by only a small margin and give the AAC automatic bid to the "best team" (UCONN) , not the tournament champion ? :) Doesn't ESPN give out the bids?..........

Unfortunately, TU probably would have had to win the tourney anyway to get in. Fortunately, Cincy is gone. I didn't want to see them.

The draw is good now. Although every game is losable, I would favor Tulsa in every possible matchup left. Have to take care of business. No excuses now. No reason not to win the tourney.

Bingo. That is exactly the way we need to be thinking. Same as in 2001 when the WAC tourney was served up on a platter to us after SMU knocked off Fresno.

Tulane and Houston tied halfway through 2nd. If that happened, our path to a championship could not be paved any smoother. Take care of business guys

Up 3 with 1.7....How does Tulane fire Conroy right now? And which reporter asks about it tonight?

That's probably the reason why they made the announcement during the game, so it would already be done before a possible upset. Tulane might give him an audience on the issue if he were to beat us in the semi's though.

I thought Houston had the luckiest draw around, after Tulane beat hometown UCF !. This has been a crazy day in Orlando! Now, we need to come out ready to play from the opening tip.

Bwahahahhahaa! I enjoy seeing Houston lose, I enjoy seeing Sampson lose, and I like Tulane. Plus, great game.

If we make it to the finals and lose to Temple or UCONN, we still dance.

Just funny with the Tulane coach scenario. Mighty funny.

If we win tonight we now might have to win the championship to get in. Tulane is 200+ IIRC

I've thought we probably need to win it all to get in for a few days now. I don't want to have to trust the committee. I hope our team thinks that way, too. They need to play every game like it's their last chance.

Also... Attendance at this tournament makes attendance at the Tulsa tournament look robust. Make all tickets all session tickets.
