Please fire him. He shouldn’t make it through the season, which I know won’t happen, but there’s NO reason to keep this staff another season.
They money you will save from avoiding an empty stadium. And a big drop in donations. With what money?
TU has the money , they just don’t admit itThey money you will save from avoiding an empty stadium. And a big drop in donations.
Won't happen during the season. He should get a chance to right the ship. And it won't get any better with an assistant in charge from this group.
I really don't believe that is true... I also do not believe they are getting any real money from tickets unless it is corporate purchases...TU has the money , they just don’t admit it
You should have sent $285K to help TU get new coaches and NIL.
@I.I. I guess that firing now is kind of pointless. Kind of like it was pointless with Rader. You should have sent $285K to help TU get new coaches and NIL.
Just because they have a large endowment, doesn't mean they have the money. That endowment can't be touched for paying buyout and new coaches salary, or anything else athletic.TU has the money , they just don’t admit it
If we don't have money for athletics, then how the f*** are we getting tailgates that are essentially mini carnivals with free food, booze, and concerts? And people don't even have to attend the game to get in?Just because they have a large endowment, doesn't mean they have the money. When they started doing that it was mentioned on this board, multiple times, the cost was 1-1.5M PER tailgate. That stuff doesn't end up costing near as much as coaches buyouts and salaries. I'd bet that stuff costs 300k per season, for all 6 games.
No wayWhen they started doing that it was mentioned on this board, multiple times, the cost was 1-1.5M PER tailgate.
Fairly sure Huffy is the one who dropped that figure. Maybe it was one game and I misunderstood. Either way, it's money not spent on anything other than good will. Which will only be taken advantage of. It ain't going to get us better recruits or make us money. Winning does that. Which requires competent staff with a vision. And facilities to keep up with the Jones. No way
I don't remember hearing that, and I don't believe that's true. But if it is, then they should be spending some of that money in other places. When they started doing that it was mentioned on this board, multiple times, the cost was 1-1.5M PER tailgate.
I'll take any coach who is UNCOMFORTABLE with losing with a fire in his belly.Who yall want as coach
100%. Dickson screwed this hire upI'll take any coach who is UNCOMFORTABLE with losing with a fire in his belly.
Wilson strokes the outside edges of his mouth every press conference with a distant stare saying "happy with the way our guys competed and didn't quit". That's loser talk... How can that fat old man inspire anything but mediocrity?
Well we tried to believe 😂Yea, I’m done. I am so embarrassed after that display. Disgusting.
Get him out right now
To me , he seems like he just took this as a “ retirement job” to coast into retirementI'll take any coach who is UNCOMFORTABLE with losing with a fire in his belly.

I was the last guy hanging onto the back of the titanic before it went underAs I mentioned last night, if you didn’t see this coming then you haven’t been paying attention. Montgomery didn’t know what he was doing and this guy is even worse.
Now even Heff is off the bandwagon, and he was probably the last one riding it out.
There for awhile, I was afraid that I was going to have to pull out one of your classic quotes about giving the coach a little tug. Now it sounds like that won’t be necessary.I was the last guy hanging onto the back of the titanic before it went under

agreed. The guys quit last night and that’s the most alarming part. I think he lost the locker room officiallywe are not even competitive.
It’s been 7 years, but I did have every one of your inappropriate posts reported and deleted except for one, which was spared for potential future cut and paste potential. I don’t think we need to use it now.Yous it
Wait, so you think he will turn it around? Based on what? The d coordinator should be canned also.I think our (not so) Special Teams coach should get the ax first. And if this futility continues in year 3 (which I doubt), Kdub will be gone.
Yea the team has quit and my guess is he’s completely lost any of the locker room he had leftThis was every bit as embarrassing as the 69-10 drubbing we took at SMU. The team wasn't even trying to tackle anyone in the second half.
I didn't see much "buying in" by the TU guys last night.
Meaning you were the one delusional enough not to get onto the lifeboat?I was the last guy hanging onto the back of the titanic before it went under
I was off the bandwagon when coach was an A-hole to the few reporters who actually cared enough to give us some occasionally decent coverage. As I mentioned last night, if you didn’t see this coming then you haven’t been paying attention. Montgomery didn’t know what he was doing and this guy is even worse.

My God, I'd forgotten about that game... That was the worst bookend imaginable to the TU / SMU rivalry before they left for the ACC. I remember he kept the same damn QB in series after series when the game was already 40+ points out of reach... There's little else to say that isn't obvious... I'm now more fearful that we're going to lose the remaining semblance of a fanbase while the admins wait out his contract before making another pedestrian hire. TU used to be so much fun to cheer for... The little guy fighting off the giants and sometimes slaying them to the chagrin of the bluebloods... Now we can't even get the edge over C-USA / MAC / Sunbelt teams. This was every bit as embarrassing as the 69-10 drubbing we took at SMU. The team wasn't even trying to tackle anyone in the second half.
