I'm going to go with Hurtt... but only because of the slam he put on that OSU defender in the BOK.

Uzoh was left of the list....but the dunk at 1:22 against Rice is pretty salty.
I'm pretty sure he broke that poor nerd's legs.

The Uzoh video reminds me how much talent Ojcik wasted. Voted for Coley though. It's a shame a Coley highlight video has never made it from the Tulsa film archives to the internet

Coley was my pick. I once saw him jump so high he was looking down at the hoop when he dunked.

Nothing against Aston because his reference points are probably more recent, but Kwanza is not on this list either...and Kwanza would end a man's life with his dunks. I'm sure some of the Nolan's players were pretty spectacular dunkers as well.

When you said best dunker, before even reading the list Hurtt came to mind and there he was. So that is my vote.

Threw this one down on that jagoff Ed O'Bannon.

Had this one hanging on my wall as a kid

No matter how many vaunted players spatter that list, the one thing only one of them can claim...

College Slam Dunk Contest
There can be only one.

I went with Coley, he couldn’t hit anything outside of ten feet, but inside of that he was likely to slam it home with authority. Kwanza had some great dunks to. He was such a physical specimen when he played. Dude was cut.

Jarius had some monster dunks ass well but I went with Coley you are right the dunk on Rebel Paulk was indeed nice

Can any one direct me to video of the Coley over Rebel Paulk dunk.

I searched for it this afternoon and could not find it. I just remember Coley jumping OVER a 6’10” guy (who is now a firefighter in New Mexico I believe) and the look on Paulk’s face was that of a person who wanted to go hide somewhere.

One particular EC dunk has stuck with me all these years. At the Convention Center, he rammed it thru so hard it bounced at least 14-15 feet straight up. I thought the light fixture at the CC ceiling was in trouble.

There are a few for me. The other one that stands out is the one versus Cincinnati in the NCAA tournament right at the start of the late 1st half run which pretty much put us up for good. One of UC's thugs then shoved the ball back in EC's chest and Coley stood and flexed while the UC player got T'd up.

Oh man, it was Bad Bob Huggins and his crew of intimidators. By the time EC & Co. got through with them, they were whining like whipped pups. BTW, I sincerely hope that exit from the NCAA still sticks deep in the craw of past & current Cincy fans.

I’m sure that season hurts deep for them. With Kenyon Martin, Satterfield, Johnson, Mickeal and others, that crew was easily the most talented, most physical, most bad a$$ Team in the country. Without Martin, they were pretty ordinary and fortunate to even get the #2 seed. Their closest conference game was a 2 pt win at DePaul and it might have been the game Martin broke his leg. The next game they beat SLU by 40’pts before coming back and losing to SLU 5 days later in their 1st CUSA tourney game.

We weren’t the thugs they were but both TU and Cincinnati that year knew how to get an opponent down and keep them there.

It was so much fun watching us beat their a$$ in the tournament

I've always wondered how a match-up between Kenyon Martin & Eric Coley would have turned out. My guess is that Eric Coley's legend would have increased while Martin's would have dropped a round in the draft. We still would have won that game.

I'm not so sure. It would've been a knock down drag out with Martin the game. I would say it would have been 50/50.

Kenyon Martin was still the top pick in the NBA draft in spite of that injury. The last college senior to do that.

Ok, you got me with Wade Jenkins. I looked him up and that would have been the JD years. I think I had just gotten my season tickets about then but for the life of me I can’t place him in my mind.

Yes Sir the JD years i remember being in the locker room on a few occasions as my grandfather was friends with JD. Wade was nice as all of the players were, I believe Wade ended up being suspended or kicked off team at some point but I can’t really remember I was pretty young

He got suspended for a domestic dispute with his wife.

Thanks for the link but that didn’t spur any memories. I remember Thompson, Marcel Gordon, Jamal West and the others very well but not Wade Jenkins, it must be age catching up with me.

Well I didn't remember Gordon's first name until you posted it. :D

Jenkins was from Carver High School in Chicago. He had 42 inch vertical at 6’5. Very athletic team with him and Micheal Scott from Arizona. Last I saw Jenkins he worked for Pepsi
