Konkol's record at TU is now 30-55...and it's going to be worse when the season ends.
For those of you who think he will be brought back....NO CHANCE.

to move on from Konkol and find the equivalent Tre Lamb who is a proven program builder from schools with
And again, shooting! Im so disappointed. Watched some summer ball. Barnes lit it up when I was at scrimmage. Reed looked good and I thought Keaton Williis would be a 40%+ shooter from the 3. Add to that expecting Garcia's return and his strong outside shooting and we would be competitive in the AAC. How wrong I was. Either bad judge of talent or poor coaching. (Obviously I did a poor job of evaluation from me but I'm not a division 1 or even high school coach. Either way, the problems rest with this regime.Unfortunately he missed badly in the portal except for Odom. The game is shooting and rim protection , ACCURATE portal recruiting, wise use of NIL, along with great X and O coaching.

Wilis has shot it well, besides his recent two game shooting slump.(3pt% 38.5) He shan't be properly judged on a two game slump. If you want to complain about him, the only complaint would be that he's slightly inconsistent. 7 games out of 24 between 0 and 22%. He shoots poorly in nearly 1 out of 3 games beyond the arc.I thought Keaton Williis would be a 40%+ shooter from the 3.
True. And Reed has regressed to earning zero court time from all freshman team.Wilis has shot it well, besides his recent two game shooting slump.(3pt% 38.5) He shan't be properly judged on a two game slump. If you want to point out a dramatic drop in 3pt shooting % don't point out point out him, or even Barnes.(31%) Point out that Archie's 3pt shooting % has dropped from over 36% to over 27%, a 9.2% deficit.
You are not a bad judge of talent. I saw the same thing in summer. One thing is different from summer. Our players are getting fewer "open" shots and lack confidence. They need to experience "winning" which disappeared at Missouri State's three overtimes and never recovered. And again, shooting! Im so disappointed. Watched some summer ball. Yes. Memphis got a last second buzzer beater coast to coast drive from their flea-like PG. And it may have been later that season i where TU beat Memphis is Memphis in a big upset. And gave us hope for the CUSA tourney where we actually upset someone to make the finals to get firmly trounced by Memphis (maybe I'm combining different seasons and good things that may have happened). Not exactly.
Wojcik almost beat a Calipari Memphis team at home one year. Maybe they were even #1?
We don't defend well enough to have off shooting games, which is like 8 out of every 10 games.Willis has shot it well.
At the end of the day we do not have the mental toughness to play consistently well or close games.
I don't think Mills is that great of a coach TBH. He found an undersized guy he was playing at C who could stretch the defense out, and a way undersized guard that not one school in the top 10 conferences in the country were willing to take a shot on. Both worked out, they got hot on one run and everyone thought Mills was a genius. ORU will not be competitive again without finding cast offs or under the radar HS kids who hit big because I doubt they're playing the NIL game in earnest. Mills took the shot, WSU is going to pay kids a good amount to play basketball there but I am underwhelmed by his x's and o's coaching (which is easy when you've got a kid who can hit from half court...I mean Absmas is a poor man's Steph Curry). WSU is not any good this year. Mills will get one more year at WSU to show he can actually coach and right the ship and if they're not competitive in the AAC next season he'll be back at Baylor as an assistant on Scott Drew's bench.Paul mills has Koch money and can't get er done.
