Now we have American Heartland theme park in Vinita. A $2 billion Disneyland like theme park in Vinita, OK. Target opening date of 2026.
Will it actually open? I doubt it. I'll give it a 10% chance of opening.

Notes Live, an outdoor amphitheater in Tulsa seems much more likely to open.

That was rejected by voters and basically replaced by the Gathering Place.

The guy behind the amusement park seems to have big money from selling a huge Pizza Hut franchise. Seems like a pet project as he thinks about his legacy (he is 90). So that gives it more credibility to me.

I thought that was supposed to be phase 2 or 3 of the Gathering Place plan.

It's easy to forget details of these things. I did. It would have been cool.

Would have been very, very interesting. Trying to fill up those buildings would have be very, very interesting.
