3-star forward Josh Earley commits to Tulsa

If you want to go way back, to the Ken Hays era I think, Bruce Davis was from KC Southwest HS.

I hear ol’ Billy-one-shoe-Frazier from the Kendall College came from Rockhurst.

(Just thought I would throw a random name out there and see if anyone called me on it)

I’m surprised no one has mentioned arguably TU’s greatest all time player who was from KC, Mr Bob Patterson, consensus All-American.

Yeah....In that time frame, he was really good....He was a senior when I was a fr.
after 4 yrs. in the USAF ('54-'55)...Some of his team mates were Dick Courter (Sand
Springs), J.C. Duncan, and Ernie Stewart....

They tied for the MoValley conf. championship with St. Louis, but instead of a play-off
with them to see who went to the NCAAs, St. Louis chose to go to the NIT, because in
most folks eyes, the NIT was the more prestigious of the two at that time because
of the Eastern press.....

T.U. lost to Colorado in the first round, but beat SMU in the consolation game for our
first and only NCAA victory until the '90's.....

A long time ago.....
