Harvey (La.) Helen Cox wing Kajon Brown was flying under the radar before strong April performances with his AAU team, which caught the eye of new Tulsa assistant Michael Schwartz. Brown says Schwartz and TU head coach Frank Haith recently started recruiting him and extended an offer...and he quickly committed.

From video I was able to find on Brown on Youtube. Kajon is very athletic. Finishes well around the basket. Is a handful whenever he has the ball in his hands. Has a decent mid-range shot, to just outside the three point circle. Gets up and down the court well. Very much in the Harrison mold but has a better outside shot. How much better we shall see. With emphasis on athletic. Could have leadership traits with the right example set for him. Not really a pure shooter type more in the scorer mold. Potential to be good enough shooter to be dangerous inside and out. Good possibility of getting decent amount of playing time early in his career if the stars line up for him.

Junior Etou coming from Rutgers. It may be best he has to sit out a year. Comes from a team in turmoil. Rutgers has lost a lot of games last two years with two losing seasons it looks like. Was a starter his freshman season racking up 20 starts for Rutgers. One mention says he has NBA defensive ability but was struggling to find his shot at 39% from floor. Would have been Rutgers best returning player.
