I was able to attend the Induction Ceremony last night.
Orher inductees were Paul Smith, Taleya Mayberry, Jill Barrett, Bill Brogden and Rick Dickson with the Golden Legacy Award.
The entire 1999 - 2000 basketball team was in attendance.
Most of the coaching staff attended, along with the majority of the support staff.
Bill Self had an out of the country commitment before he knew about the HOF induction. His wife Cindy and a daughter were in attendance. Bill had a nice video message, which was great.
There were some great photo opportunities of the entire basketball team on the stage. Unfortunately, we can't attach photos.
The event was well attended and a lot of applause throughout the event.
Bruce Howard was the Master of Ceremonies.
I spoke to several of the players and had good conversations with them. More than one player I spoke to, thanked me for being a fan and mentioned how we had the Reynolds Center rocking back in those days.
A lot of great memories were brought back last night.

Any comments from the players or ex coaches about the present state of the program? I.e., comments about present commitments we have received? Specifically interested in comments about Smikle, Popoola, & Onwuchekwa and maybe Barnstable.

I didn't have any conversation about present commitments.
I mentioned to a couple of the player's I had lost some interest in the program over the last ten years and don't attend all the home games anymore. I heard back they understood and hope we get back to winning seasons.

Self just won't let us get away from Michigan St, and Izzo, and Wojcik.
I agree. I was there and we were better than Wisconsin, Florida, and of course UNC. I really think we could beat Michigan State if we played really well. It was my 1st final four and my last, but it was fun to experience atmosphere although from my seats, you had a much better view on TV.
