I've been pretty hard on the AAC this year and its mostly due to the very average Net Rankings for our better teams.
But I did notice a stat that is pretty astounding. The AAC record against the AP poll teams stands at 12 wins. That's pretty good for a non so called power conference.
Wins against the AP poll teams
B-12 46
SEC 24
B 10 23
ACC 20
B East 20
MTW 17
American 12
P 12 11
Big drop off
A-10 4
WCC 3
Mo Valley 2
Sun Belt 2
Even more amazing is if you include the deserters to the B-12 and UCONN the American has 27 AP poll wins.
From this metric the American looks like a more competitive conference than I thought.
B-12 is completely in another stratosphere than other conferences.
GO TU!!!!
