I kept my eye on Sherman Steptoe's son, Zion, for a while but then lost track of his recruiting because I didn't ever see Tulsa get involved. I don't understand why TU wouldn't be after Zion or at least recruit him to some degree. He was part of the Under Armour All-American game early in the year and then committed to Utah in June over about 20 other offers.
Several schools with coaches that have Tulsa ties have offered, including Hawaii (Todd Graham / Landon Keopple), Texas State (Jake Spavital), New Mexico (Derek Warehime) and Pitt (Brennan Marion).
