A good game to try and get on track, Cincy is solid but struggling. Hopefully this will be the start of a nice rythm to the season for the girls who have had so many starts and stops. Schedule is going to start smoothing out as we have already faced two of the better teams really early in the season. Opportunities will run out quicker than you blink so they need to get going.

The game is at 1pm on ESPN+ or 93.5 FM the Jet for radio, which is broadcast world wide for free on Iheartradio app.

Of course the greatest feature of the plus is its replay option so if the game is close, somewhere late in the game you will get a spoiler warning if you want to watch the final moments of the game on your own.

The Mayberry girls have gone cold shooting as has most of the team. Wyvette is still adjusting to the college game but shows so much talent. Mia is playing pretty well, Desiree Lewis and Lascay have been very solid dependable leaders and our Icelandic forward is fun to watch with lots of hustle and work to go with a good game.

Let's go TU, get a W and start a streak.

After a rough start TU goes on a 7-0 run.

Lascay seems to have taken it upon herself to get Tulsa going. Two steals, some solid passing and shooting has got the girls into a little rythm.

Tulsa's defense has been ok but not great with some good rebounding ending possesions.

Lascay's steals put her in the top ten for Tulsa.

Wyvette pours in eight. Tulsa not completely in sync on offense. Defense is tightening up. We blew a lay up at the end, missed the rebound being frantic, Mia makes two baskets to end the half, one waved off on foul on the floor, the last one was a tenth of a second too late. Tulsa goes on 14-2 run to finish the first.

This should be even worse, this sounds like the team that beat a pretty good OSU squad. We haven't been getting offensive rebounds a lot and we get a little antsy with them have missed what should have been 3 easy bunny put backs.

Defense is doubling or tripling the dominant Cincy post, Cincy missed a couple open and decent but not great shots on passes out of it, but overall it has been really good. Rebounding does a lot for you and Tulsa looks really good.

Offense looks better but still need to relax, shots are falling though and the girls are driving well.

Our posts are doing a lot of work and giving us a good inside offensive presence

Cincy comes out of the time out and goes on a 5-0 run off of bad rotation shot and allowing a couple drives. Tulsa missed two shots it should of made.

Time out Tulsa

Game has turned into one of small 6-8 point runs.

Tulsa pushes to double digits, Cincy fights back to a two possesion game. Tulsa not shooting as well as early in the game. Defense, rebound, and a little transition is keeping them ahead.

Spoiler warning.

Tulsa with the ball up by 5 with 5 mins left

Tulsa with a bad possesion.

Tulsa still has not put together a long period of good offensive and defensive possesions since the 14-2 run to end the 1st quarter. They have had good periods of offense and some of defense. With just under 5 mins to play we need that 14-2 type team to make sure we grab the win.

I always forget how hard it can be for a team not use to winning to learn to do all those lil things you need to get it done.

Should be a great finish

Tulsa going to grind on defense and look for a basket or two to win.

Time out Cincy with the ball.

We need smart team play, strong defense and team rebounding we can get out with a win. Will likely need to make some free throws to get out with the W.

Tulsa snags a turnover on an attempted entry pass to a doubled Cincy star. Tulsa runs clock on offense, shot block, rebound for Tulsa second block shot clock violation. Good defense for Tulsa, fight for rebound, Cincy gets it on possesion arrow. Tulsa D holds up, rebounds, foul by Cincy

Cincy time out to advance the ball. Possesion Arrow is in Cincinnati's favor, so good defense, rebound, good passes and value the ball now to get the win.

Thomas (Cincy star post) with another good hoop, forced her way down, tulsa with a time out to advance the ball.

Lascay left hurt after some bad no calls and very physical game. She really set the tone and Tulsa did not play quite as well with out her.

Wyvette made some big plays and showed she has learned some lessons already. Even when her offense sputtered she made big plays on defense, controlled the ball and ran the offense really well. Lewis showed some great leadership and overall everyone on the court made some nice contributions. Evan's who has been playing well but struggling shooting hit some shots and played even better. Including a big 3 she was fouled on and sank the freebie, followed by a Mayberry 3 that ended what had been a pretty good start to the second half.

Girls looked like a different team for good portions of the game, more like how they started versus UCF. Hopefully they can build, the next few games except for Houston are the middle of the pack games Tulsa will have to win to have a decent season. A little rythm will probably help a team that is going two weeks between games at this point.

Good job by the ladies, did the little things needed to get a win.
