OSU cuts lead in half on 8-0 run.

Now 10-0 about 5 mins left. Struggling against a press

TU big offensive board

Wyvettee for another 3

Followed by a floater from OSU

1:15 left 63-60 tulsa with the ball

Wyvette got hurt first quarter, returned middle of the fourth and is putting on a show.

Rebound leads to made a tough jumper off a spin by Tulsa, 5 point lead 65-60, 37 seconds left OSU ball out of a time out

Made two pointer for OSU

65-62

Smart time out by TU to advance the ball we have struggled vs the press.

30.9 seconds left, Tulsa ball, two timeouts left. OSU out of time outs. Replay on a long jumper from OSU to make sure a two. Here we go. Get it in make free throws, play defense

OsU has to foul four times to get too overthrows lol refs trying to screw Tulsa screws over OSU

First women's win vs a big XII team since 2005

The Problem: M. Mayberry 13pts three 3s and a concerted effort to deny her the whole second half.

The Issue: W. Mayberry 16pts four 3s on four of five shooting and four clutch free throws, two Snowman cold 3s at the end of the game to make sure they got the W after leaving hurt and sitting out two and a half straight quarters or so.

Trainers say Wyvette can't play after rolling ankle second time in a couple days. Coach Mayberry tells Coach in fourth quarter as we are struggling with the OSU press, if she Wyvette says she can go, trainers say no. W. says let me go coach, Mossman puts her in and Wyvette goes crazy.

That's how you go undefeated in out of conference. That's also how legends begin, first game in uniform versus in state rival at there place and you just go out and put them down like a sick animal. Ruthless.

Matilda needed this. The Mayberry’s have always been good players and underrated because of their size. Never underestimate how far good fundamentals will take a player. They can handle the ball and they can shoot.

She needs to win lol. Two years ago looked like she had things going last year was a bit of a down turn. I like the girls, play hard, we haven't had the best depth but we went 9 deep with out a lot of let off. The Mayberry sisters seem like a really good fit with what we brought back. Their outside shooting will definitely open up the floor. Also gives us a back court to match some of the better conference teams.

I'm excited to see the team compete live, it's a very good start hopefully it can push us to a good year.

Thank you for all these posts. I was holding my breath reading them! Great win for the women.

Welcome, I got ESPN+ and it is already worth it, especially with the replay option, all of the women games should be on there or regular tv now.

For future reference the games are on 93.5 the guy who does them isn't bad. It's not Bruce who I have listened to and watched games at the same time so much I can really visualize the game flow but it is a nice call to listen to.

If you are outside of Tulsa you can pick it up on I heart radio app for free.

Of course you may not be me and willing to follow anything Tulsa unless something else important is happening lol. I have a problem.

Again though I think this team will be a lot of fun to watch, I like the way they played, pace was pretty good, and every player contributed something important for the win. I love that kind of basketball. I enjoyed watching Taleya play here at Tulsa and watched her dad play. Mia and Wyvette got that same sort of game. They have a swagger to them, they know they are good and will show you if you doubt. That's something we haven't had on a women's team in a while.

Link to that first 3 Wyvette hit in the fourth quarter. Defender went under the screen and she put it up.

We will still end up at the bottom of the AAC. It took OSU playing very poorly and us playing the best in years. Need a new direction in the program.

It was our worst game of the year. OSU did not play poorly. Them playing poorly was at cause of us.

I don't follow this that much. Are the Mayberrys Lee's daughters?

Yes.

They are walking bad asses that ORU somehow screwed up getting. We had their older sister and she is now one of our assistants, who it is my hope will be our future women's coach in the same way I expect one our alums currently working at various schools as assistants to be the next coach at Tulsa for the men's team.

There are a lot of alums in all sports who are climbing around the coaching ranks as well as former assistants from successful periods in those sports. Thats great for the pool of coaching talent we can look at as openings occurs. The football alums are younger and further down the line they should also help us as we build staffs and hire head coaches.
