Will Tuesday’s game be broadcast?

Being that it's at 12p on a Teusday, and not interrupting any live broadcast of pro/ncaa football/basketball, I can't imagine why Espn wouldn't air it on one of their non streaming channels.

By the way this brings something up that really irritates me. Our new tv contract doesn't start until next year. So why the h3ll are they putting 1 of our football games(so far, can't wait to see what they do with Houston & especially East Carolina) and 2 of our basketball games on ESPN+???

So now I have to have ESPN+ for Sept-Dec for 3 games.(San Jose St./F, UTA/B & KSU/B) This would be a minor irritation for me, but I have YouTubeTV. Guess what, YouTubeTv is the only company that didn't pay for the separate membership to ESPN3, so you can't get it with YouTube. So I have to pay for Sling to get Espn3 as well as ESPN+ on top of all my other subscriptions.(YouTubeTV, Philo, Netflix, Amazon, VPN) for 4 mo. to see all of TU's football and basketball games.

Really irritates me that it's going to be $100 spent on sh!te I shouldn't have to pay for.(Sling/Espn3 & Espn+) Start Espn+ next year and quit BS'in my wallet. Whatever little clause u got in that contract for these three games shouldn't be there. It ain't the money, it's the principle.

I assume the KSU game is because of the Little12, but where's the excuse for San Jose and UTA. Next year is fine, I just have to pay for Espn+ for 6 or 7 mo. No need for Espn3 any more.(Unless they try to slip me a mickey and put 3 or 4 games on Espn3 next year, like they have this year with Espn+.)

Stepping off $100 soapbox now...

Which brings up one of my pet peeves and that’s the proliferation of streaming services. You see a CBS show advertised that looks good then you find you can’t see it unless you get their streaming service. Want to watch Star Wars? You gotta get Disney’s streaming service. It seems to never end. People gripe about paying $100 for cable or satellite but soon you’ll have to pay $200 just for the right to stream stuff.

I do agree with the sentiment of your soapbox and I hate the number of ESPN streaming options (terrestrial, ESPN3, AND ESPN+) BUT I do have good news YouTube TV did re-add ESPN3! https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/youtube-tv-re-adds-support-for-espn3/

Keep in mind that ESPN3 and ESPN+ are different. Our game at SJSU was on espn3. We have two games slated for ESPN+ for hoops (at UTA and at KSU). The KSU game is actually on linear tv (Fox Sports Midwest) but also available to those outside the viewing area on ESPN+. The thing to remember here is that the home team’s media contract controls the broadcast. So the MW controlled the SJSU football game, the Sunbelt controls the UTA game, and the Big12 controls the KSU game. All of our home games are on an ESPN linear platform, ESPN3, or cbs sports network.

Now next year will be a different story. Pretty much anything that was ESPN3 for us this season would likely be ESPN+. There will likely be more than that on ESPN+ as well, but I know those items will for sure end up on ESPN+.

GH2(not to be confused with GHB): I don't remember which one, but there was one game that was on espn+, and I was told(by espn) that Espn3 content was not on Espn+ and vice versa. Thus I got Espn+ that month. I could have sworn it was San Jose St., and I did attempt to verify it with this article, but am still not sure sure it was the San Jose game. Regardless of which game it was, and regardless of the truthiness of what ESPN told me, I was conned into getting Espn+ if it was on Espn3.

I think I have seen that KSU game being on Fox at one time,(somewhere other than ESPN) but forgot about it until you mentioned it. Thanks for the reminder that eliminates the need for espn+ in december. I didn't think there was any contract between ESPN+ and the Sunbelt, I thought that we were the first non g5, and presently the only non g5 conference that had a contract with them. I guess this must be a one game deal with UTA, rather than a season long deal, after reading that TW article I previously referenced about football.

CMullins: Thanks for cluing me in on that. I was going to get Sling in the next couple of days.

Stepping off my currently discounted $15(previously priced at $100, Come On Down...) Soap Box.

Thanks again guys.

I like that streaming is fractured. People have been complaining forever that they have to purchase tons of channels they don't need through cable. Now we have tons of options that offer different things and we have a choice. Eventually disney is going to buy everything and it will suck again.

season ticketholders are to sit in 113, 114 and the padded seats of 115. Anyone buying a ticket can likely walk into those sections. The upper decks are also open for fans.

I actually like the kids energy which makes the arena more lively. But, this game has been a real nightmare - the infamous loss to Lamar and the close call (I think this was the game last year) to Cal Bpt.

By the way in the schedule for the local teams in the Sunday World, I think I saw that HBU also plays ORU.

They have gotten better with giving the kids directions. Also some highlight reel athletic plays will get the kids hyped and that energy feeds on itself. So hopefully we can see some alley oop, break away turnover dunks early.

Also the video operator and the cheer leaders being on point to direct the kids will help a lot. Luckily we have some emotional leaders on the team who like to interact with the crowd so that will help too.

Was kind of weird, 4 11/12p starts. They put one on ESPN3, and one on Espn+, and didn't broadcast the other 2. I thought surely they would have put on their non streaming networks. I realize they aren't great games. I would think at least one would make it, seeing as how these four games were the first four games in the basketball season.

I am on the new ESPN app. I cannot find where I can watch a replay of the game. Does anyone know? I really hate this new app.

I agree, the new app sucks. Hit the watch icon and select your sport. You should see three buttons across the top, live, upcoming and replay. Select replay and the Tulsa game is top of the list.

ok, scratch that. From the watch icon scroll down and select basketball. Scroll a little and select NCAA men’s basketball. Scroll to the bottom where on demand is listed and the TU game is there.

Ahhhh thank you. I didn’t look hard enough but now I see it. I got frustrated with the suckitude of the new app and gave up. Thanks.
