We haven't made it over the hump against the tall/long teams in the AAC yet but that is what I love about this Tulsa team they are going to figure it out. I see this group of guys putting on their hard hats and go to work.
Rashad Ray is hitting his threes and Woodward will help as he usually has in the past. Curtis needs to help either from the three line or the mid range. He has a knack for getting in traffic and using pump fakes he is a very cerebral player.
Shaq tried his hardest to go to the rim and contort his body against Cincy but they wouldn't fall. I like his effort and can see that only helping him going forward. If he will continue to drive to the rim those shots will eventually fall.
Swanny didn't play as many minutes as normal but I can see him defending better against the good bigs and at least making it a little harder for the bigs to score. I would also like for him to be ready to clean up Shaq's misses on his drives when the bigs leave him to cover Shaq. That should leave Swanny or Wright some easy flushes.
Wright will get more minutes in the rough and tumble games because the AAC refs allow for a lot of contact and physical play which is his game. He also has a pretty 7 to 8 foot jumper that he can make. He needs to utilize that shot more.
Edogi has shown against some of these big/long teams he is needed and I trust he can handle it. The sky is the limit for Edogi he is an incredibly strong and athletic kid. I'm looking forward to his improvement, hoping we see it on Sunday.
I still think this Tulsa team can win in Dallas and can do really well in Hartford.
It's going to be a war in Dallas but this team is ready and willing to take the fight to the Mustangs.
This group has a lot of heart and I trust that they will figure out how to get these things resolved as they move forward.
I hope the players read this post, they need to know that the fans still believe in them and can get this thing done.
Not ready to throw in the towel just yet.
Lets win in Dallas and make some noise in Hartford.
GO TULSA!!!!!!!
