To give temple their 6th loss in conference I think Cincinnati will lose a total of 7 or 8 games in conference this year. Temple has beaten us and I’m more afraid of Temple than Cincinnati they are bad.

Cincinnati wins temple now has 6 losses and Cincinnati has 4 conference losses. Cincinnati is now 2 and 4.

Just watched TCU beat OSU by 3. TCU up by 2 shooting one free throw with 2.2 seconds left and OSU out of timeouts. I think Dixon made the wrong call in not having the shooter miss the shot. A rebound and shot would have to be 3/4 court. Instead he made the shot and OSU got a tying shot from mid Court that almost went in. TCU moving back up.

You know way more about basketball than me, but it seems to me that missing the FT is riskier than making it. If you miss, the two main outcomes are you win by two, or you lose by one, with some chance of a tie. If you make it, it's win or go to OT. Losing by one is the least likely outcome, which means you win slightly more often when you miss, but you are going to win most of the time in either case. Is the small increase in an already large winning percentage worth as much as eliminating the possibility of losing in regulation and still having a chance to win if the worst happens?
Maybe the distribution of results is different than I'm thinking. As the chance of being tied with a make increases over the chance of being beat with a miss, then a miss makes more sense.
