As we have the tiebreaker at the moment against Cincy and we might get swept by Wichita and need as many losses as possible for Wichita so we stay ahead of them in the conference standings

I agree, but I have another perspective: A home team can be overconfident after a home W. A win by Wichita sets them up for a fall against TU. On the other hand, the best outcome is WSU loses twice.

As well as the fact that they probably won't lose three in a row. A win by them today makes me feel better for setting up our game with the best chance to win.

I am not so sure. Would be good if Wichita stays in the top 75 though to give us a q1 win opportunity.

Here’s my view with the NET in mind. I would rather WSU win today and lose to us on Wednesday. If WSU loses 2 in a row, and possibly just loses to Cincinnati today, they would likely move down enough to become a Q3 loss for us. Cincinnati having a Q1 road loss wouldn’t drop far if at all and would remain a Q2 win for us. There are other things to consider besides the standings and even where the standings are concerned I would rather top the standings by winning rather than wishing everyone else loses.

Wichita State to allow 2500 of their loudest fans for the Tulsa game compared to zero at Reynolds when we played them. Is that fair?

Good for them.
Their choice.
Tulsa could always decide to allow a limited # of fans. Spread them out. But Tulsa won't. Their choice. It is what it is.

Since we already have the Cincy road win in the bag my hope is that they keep winning and get into the Top 75 so they can be another Q1 win

I would rather have a Q2 win and a Q2 loss than a potential Q1 win and a Q3 loss. I’m pulling for WSU today then I hope we beat them Wednesday. That’ll give us the Q1 and Q2 wins without the Q3 loss.

When did we win at Wichita last? We will be a big underdog at wsu this week. This is why I want Cincy to win at wsu as wsu is a bigger threat to be battling for the championship just like last year as Cincinnati is clearly not the team of old

WSU is a very good NCAA caliber team this year.

So far...
The 3 best teams in the AAC are Houston, WSU and Tulsa.

So long as the refs don't take Joiner, Idowu or Rachal out of the game, Tulsa's chances are 50/50 Wednesday.

With fans now in attendance I suspect Wichita should not lose at home any more . We will be significant underdogs. Our Co-champion team was run out of the gym there last year.

We can’t play craptastic zone defense. They will kill us from three. We have discipline on offense. We have a chance there.

I think we’re evenly matched enough that it’ll come down to turnovers and rebounds.

We need to win this week and extend that winning streak to 8. Beat Wichita St and Memphis, then we can lose one in Houston.

I agree. The aggressive man defense and steals are winning for us with an occasional switch to the zone briefly to throw off the rhythm.

We are also scoring much better as well. That Wichita game here could have been a win if we made free throws, we had just come out of the covid restrictions and didn't play any where close to the way we have the last few games or versus UTA.

I think we have a good chance, we need that strong defense you talked about, I would like us to throw some of that 3/4 court pressure we have out early just to mix it up more. Of course as always rebound. I think we do that it comes down to us making our free throws, especially the end of the game, very similar to here. They're playing a little better than a few weeks ago but I think we got an even more improvement then they did in that time.

Surprisingly well coached....Every player on the perimeter attacks you one on one,
very similar to the Houston offense.....They attack the offensive boards in a similar
way to Houston also.....That does make them vulnerable to fast breaks..

Their three point shooting at one point later in the game was 1 for 13....Most of
their scoring, similar to us, was in the paint.....They finally won going away...Mark
of a good team.....

I don't know the history of their coach, but so far he has seemingly done a good
job......
