Granted Memphis could've beaten KU tonight the way they played but I can't believe we stood around for rebounds, stayed zone AGIAN with a team hot from 3, and didn't shoot 3's whe we actually freaking needed to.

There is no question we will accept an NIT bid, but will lose in the second round. Bet the farm......
I get the negativity and disappointment. But, really, this was a very good season by TU standards over the last 20 years. Many of our tournament teams would not have notched the Ws this team got. I'll be there for the NIT and hope to see the team play MUCH better than tonight.
Our standards haven't dropped. We are all deeply disappointed but I gaurentee you it is no where near what these seniors feel.
These guys have brought real life back into TU basketball and have earned our support until the end, no matter how disappointing.

Interesting contrast in coaching last night between our game and KU game... KU was flat in first half, bill lit a fire under them in the locker room and they came out and dominated Baylor in the second half... Tulsa went into the locker room whipped and came out beaten... No after the break runs to tighten it up, no energy on the defensive end... Just beaten...
I'm still disappointed and surprised by the game last night. I'm not even sure there was one single thing that caused. It a compounding of many negatives. Most on here are diehards and just venting and speechless with the outcome too.
That said after a nights sleep I still look back on the regular season and realize it's one of the best we've had in a very long time. Unfortunately we are also in the best conference we've ever been in for basketball and a night off against any opponent, especially one as talented as Memphis, can lead to a blow out like this. And it stings that this is how the conference season comes to a close. For me this type of loss is even worse coming to Memphis. I hated watching them stomp us in the Calipari days and here they are, with a terrible coach, doing it again.
That's crazy, this team doesn't deserve a #1 seed. If an NIT bid is accepted, Taplin needs to play significant minutes over Woodard. Don't give some half assed effort a swan song, the NCAA is for the Sr's, the NIT should be about the future.

It was an OK season. and you could make an argument for good out of the last 20, but that's because we have been a disappointment for the last 10. We did go to several ncaa tournaments, win an nit tourney in the last 20 years. So if you include those, I'd view this year as OK, average, but definitely not good in comparison.
