“A Tennessee defensive back who entered the NCAA transfer portal at the end of May has announced a transfer commitment. Kenney Solomon, who played in 21 games primarily on special teams over the past two seasons for the Vols, announced via social media on Saturday that he intends to transfer to Tulsa. The Golden Hurricane were one of the teams to offer Solomon after he entered the portal, and he also took a visit to Coastal Carolina earlier this month.

In his commitment tweet, Solomon thanked several Tulsa coaches, including head coach Philip Montgomery, defensive coordinator Joseph Gillespie, running backs coach Jayden Everett, safeties coach Kendrick Shaver and cornerbacks coach Carlton Buckels, suggesting he will play defense for his new team after moving from cornerback to wide receiver during his sophomore season at Tennessee in 2020.”
