USF game thread

Hopefully he doesn't have multiple personalities and cycle through all 7 of the dwarfs.
We generate a lot of great looks both going to the basket and creating open looks for 3. The biggest problem is going to be interior defense and rebounding. Outside of Poindexter, TU just doesn't have the length and athleticism inside. I think Nelp realizes that and tries to push tempo and is basically taking the old Loyola Marymount approach of scoring as many points as possible and hoping it's enough.
And last year TU would have been down 15-20 pts at this point against USF. Just look at what a coaching change can do to reinvigorate a program. Hell, we're actually discussing the program on the message boards in a positive tone.
Wow. This team is fun to watch. They push the ball and the create a lot of easy looks.
And the ladies are getting a bit sloppy. Time to tighten things back up and close out the game.
We look gased right now. We really aren't very deep. And the lack of length is showing up as USF seems to be getting every rebound on both ends. We're game though. Keep playing hard and start running the offense like they did in the first half.
This is why no one cares about women's basketball..

But a 6-9 (0-4) Men's team against literally anyone would get over 50 comments no question.
Sucks it's only the men's sports that get any attention even though it's nothing but garbage this year..

66-63! I only got to watch until halftime and the ladies were doing well. That 4th quarter they were outscored by 9 points. Very exciting.
Who cares, women's average hand ✋ size is smaller too. What does that matter.
I'm thinking OriginalTulsaFan is the last person who really should be commenting about ball size
I have really enjoyed watching the girls game on ESPN+, i ,do not drive at night but the next afternoon game I will driveto tulsa to watch them play in person
I want to watch the reply of the game and actually count how long it took for USF to get the ball inbound. I seriously think the 7 count may be an understatement. Horrible call.
To be fair, most of those 50 comments are the same 3 or 4 posters complaining about the coach.
On the other hand, there are more posts in this thread alone than there have been about WBB total in the last 3 years. Has there ever in the history of TU women's basketball been a game thread before?? Rome wasn't built in a day.
I don't remember any individual game threads, just state of the program threads. TU fans will always be more interested when teams are doing well. This team is much much improved...so much so that it had the preseason choice for the championship on the ropes and not by a fluke. Young team still needs to learn how to finish tight games like this and I am confident Nelp will help them with that. And the local flavor of the team is great as well. We have 2 girls from BTW with an NCAA legend dad and another on the way from the Mayberry clan (and I hear she may be the best of all of them). Poindexter is a TU legacy and going to be a great player. I am excited for the future of this program!
Last time I was this excited about women's bball was when McConnell-Miller was the coach. She had great players but she was also really involved at TU and got to know a lot of people outside of athletics, me included. BTW, Kathy was hilarious. She used to tell me she could hear me heckling the other team during games and it was all she could do to keep from laughing at some of the things we were saying.
