Shamari Brooks with a TD 3 minutes in. 1st carry went for 22 yds. The TD run was a tough 3 yds where he carried the LBer into the end zone.

Tre Brown with a 50 yd TD on a screen pass. He's fast...really really fast. Just burned past one of the Stoops' boys in the secondary

7:25 left in the 2nd Union 26-7. Union has missed 2 PATs. Norman North is about 80/20 pass to run and right now Union won't let them go deep and is putting all sorts of pressure on the NN QB. Brooks had 2 runs in the last scoring drive for about 8 yards. 2nd one he made 6 yds out of nothing.

Tyree (or Kyrie) Fisher is a monster at DE/OLB for Union. 3 sacks already. Anyone know if he is in our radar?

29-7 at half. Outside of Union giving NN the ball on the 30 after an atrocious punt, Union has really dominated the game. NN guys talking all sorts of gas before this one too.

They said he was committed to Minnesota and that Arkansas was after him.

Union up 37-13 w/ 2 min left in 3rd. Brooks has about 150 now.

BTW, Hominy is pulling away and Zaven Collins has at least 1 TD

He and Brown are two best players on field. But Brooks is very special.

43-28 Union, 8:25 left. Union has played some atrocious 3rd and long defense. Reminds me of the Memphis game

Both these defenses are gassed. Where is CJ Moore going?

Edit: OU. Looks like Keyarris.

Wow! 50-28 Union, 6:04 left. Union has some big time playmakers on offense with a somewhat limited QB

Stoops probably signs another four star receiver that never plays over Drake.

HS referees do not move fast and the 25 second clock doesn't start until the ref signals. Probably 45-50 seconds b/t plays.

HS football doesn't use replay and it just cost Union a 20yd gain and a 1st down that would have ended it

That was ridiculous. Looks like they brought AAC officials for this one.

Shamari Brooks is not a big guy and he just carried 4 NN defenders for 6 yards. He has 32 carries, 220 yards rushing.

Take that back...Union kept feeding him instead of taking a knee. Add another 20 or so yards and another TD. Union 57-35

I kind of think Union wanted to stick it to the refs and OSSAA by not running out the clock.

Union played with a lot of attitude as evidenced by how chippy things got late. 21 straight yrs a team from the east (read Union and Jenks) have won the state championship and since they split off the little brother group Bixby has won all 3. East side domination. Wonder what excuse the west will come up with next

Yeah, you could tell the streak is under Deano's skin. He said something like, "How about that?"

I haven't really talked about Brooks this season but just wanted to say how impressed I've been with him this season. He's been a little under the radar because of last season but he's by far the best back in the state and is certainly in the conversation for the best player. He has a chance to be a star at TU.

It seems everyone likes this kid except Rivals(sorry Chris). The top running back on the state's top division championship team, soon to be top 20 HS team nationally, is only 2 stars?? Oh well, keep him there Rivals so the "big" boys don't come a callin. BTW, has anyone seen the stats on Abram Smith, our other RB recruit? This kid appears to be one of the best RB's in Texas, too! Ooooooo! Are we set at that position for the next 5-6 years or what? TU Football: 1st,last,always!

hilarious to hear Deano (OU never runs it up) complain about Union not taking a knee on the last drive. And, he was condescending about Brooks - a nice runner but does not have break-away speed, should be fine for TU (hint not for a State school). You could almost feel Holcomb smirking about the West side win.
