these announcers make me sick. zero
Blame to Ollie and blaming the conference, and they lumped TU in with east Carolina and Tulane.

Completely bs for them to through programs under the bus during live action games. The conference shouldn’t be too happy about that either.

Why are they playing in Kentucky ?
Cincy has played most of their home games at Northern Kentucky this year because their arena is undergoing renovations, similar to what Houston is doing with TX Southern.

BTW, Bruce called Greenberg out for the comments. UCONN has dropped off but if you look at everyone else in the conference, only ECU and USF have not shown significant improvement and talent upgrades. Cincinnati is probably better than at any time they were in the Big East, Wichita State will continue to improve. Us, Tulane, SMU, Houston, UCF have all gotten better. Memphis is about the same but they have had a weird outside influence that has impacted their last 2 seasons. If Cincy had a serious drop off, then maybe you could blame the rest of the schools in the conference. UCONN has the talent, they just don’t have a good coach. And UCONN could probably poach a Danny Hurley away from URI and they’d be tough as hell to play against because that guy can coach.

Only thing I really disagree with is Memphis. That’s a program on the downward slide imo and are nowhere close to where they’ve typically been over the last twenty plus years. SMU is also headed down imo. Houston is a team to watch going forward as is UCF.

Specifically claimed UCONN can’t recruit to AAC... which misses the fact they had a Top 10 recruiting class within he past 2 years.

What’s funny is if the season works out just right they could finish outside the Top 10 in conference standings... but it’s because of recruiting... not coaching!!!!!111

UConn has had some unusual injuries to 4 star players and unexpected defections. They recruited okay but have never had all the players together. But I agree that Ollie is more of a Josh Pastner bench coach.

The only reason Memphis was there was because Cal was cheating. Everyone knows it and they had a 30+ win season wiped out because of it. They had some serviceable and decent teams under Pastner and even last years team for Tubby wasn’t bad but that got blown up by the Lawsons.

SMU- with the right coach they can be good. Jankovich isn’t that guy. Not sure why he was brought in anyway. Weird.

Let them keep mouthing off about Tulsa, we will keep being their daddy, this is just another reason to run the score up on them in football next year as well

So Memphis could recruit in C-USA 2.0, Gonzaga can recruit in the WCC, Wichita State could recruit in the Valley, VCU can recruit in the A10, Middle Tennessee can recruit in CUSA 3.0, Bucknell can recruit in the Patriots league, Nevada can recruit in the MWC, and Cinci/Temple/Houston can recruit in the AAC...

But UCONN can't recruit in the AAC?

Also, it really sucks that Pittsburgh apparently can't recruit in the ACC. The only explanation is that the ACC sucks.

Everytime I hear some jagov saying these things, I wish an audio recording of your post would go over the air.

By the way the terrible take from Greenberg has made its way to the Coaching staff AND Tulsa board of trustees. And as to be expected they are not happy.

Nor should they be. The more I think about it the angrier I become.

Bruce Howard tweeted about it last night and Frank retweeted it, it has and probably will continue to spread

Greenberg has always been a tool. He made a big stink about his crappy VA Tech teams not making the dance like 3 or 4 straight years. Most of the dumbass ESPN "pundits" at the time agreed with him even though he was notorious for scheduling powderpuff non-con schedules. Now he's a dumbass ESPN "pundit" himself.
