Has anyone made it to the new Marshall's taproom? The photos look phenomenal...I plan to get over there soon.

Haven't made it to Marshall's, but had a good time at Cabin Boys Friday night. They had a band playing in the warehouse so you could go back and forth through a door. Someone said the band was playing a Maroon 5 song, so obviously I ignored the music.

Wow. Maroon 5 haters.

I was at Cabin Boys on Saturday night, after dinner at Prairie Brewpub and a stop at Nothing's Left Brewery. Prairie has some good stouts, but they out-fancy themselves on their other beer. It's all a sour mess to me.

American Gold at Nothing's Left was a solid standard brew that was hop-forward.

You can't go wrong at Cabin Boys. Bearded Theologian (Belgian Quad) is delicious, as is the Nola's French Ale. I also tried one that isn't currently on their website...can't remember the name...it was good though.

Marshall's new tap room is fantastic. Lots of room and lots of beers on tap including some tap room only exclusives. Three big tv's behind the bar. I stopped in before the USF game and everyone had TU gear on.

Might be going to Dead Armadillo on Sat. night. Looks like my old boys in The Shame are playing around 8 or so. A fundraiser of some kind. Figure I'll get up on stage and help sing a few songs.

U don't like Moaner 5?

Honestly, I have no idea if I've ever heard any of their music. There are so many of these bands that are selling out the BOK who I have no clue about, nor do I want to have a clue about. I hear a tiny snippet of those Imagine Dragon dorks on some radio station's tv spot and my wife and I sit there like, God, that's awful music.

I reckon that makes us snobs. We like what we like and don't have much room for any new music in our lives. I'd have to say the only new stuff we've really, really liked in the last three years is Jackson Maine. And that dude's not even real !!!!1
