ESPN writes up all the remaining undefeated women's BB teams in the country, focusing on which are title contenders. We're not in the title contender list, but when was the last time we got into an article about title contenders? This is a good thing for a program on the rise. Those poo pooing the women's team I think can officially stick it.

Baby steps. Finishing in the top half of the AAC would be a great start this season and being competitive vs USF as well. We are still lacking depth, especially inside but the 7 who play a lot of minutes can produce. It's still a tenuous situation because we rely so heavily on outside shooting...if TU ever goes cold it could be dicey.

But Nelp is building the right way. Poindexter was the first piece. Valuing the basketball, sharing the basketball, and hard nosed defensive principles have been what has carried this team so far. Fundamentals. If you can build a team that is fundamentally sound and you start getting key pieces to commit, special things will happen. (If only TU athletic admin could draw these correlations and impose them on the men's program...)
