Started well but USF is killing us with their O rebounds And second chance points. Down 22-13.

USF comes over the back on many rebounds but because they are taller not being called. We are getting called on moving screens. Down 26-15 after 1 and Crawford has 2 fouls. 7 TU fouls to 3 for USF.

USF 8 O Rebounds to 7 total rebounds for TU. They have 15 second chance points to 0 for TU.

Playing most of Q2 with Poindexter, Crawford and Cartwright on the bench.

Down 35-32 at half. Good comeback from down as many as 15. Poindexter played about 5-6 minutes in Q2 but Crawford didn’t play at all with 2 fouls, Cartwright played only a minute or two. Elise Hill came on strong and has 7 points.

After 3 TU 48 USF 47. Hill having a great game.

So it all comes down to the road game at Temple. If Tulsa wins they are still in it. If Tulsa loses they can't win the championship. Unless it's a three way tie, and then who knows. We have the tiebreaker against N Texas, and Temple would have it against us, with a win against us next game.

Beat Temple!!!

Didn’t Delaney Crawford break the women’s 3 pointers made today?
Yes. She sit most of the first half with foul trouble but came on strong in the second half.

Poindexter had her usual solid performance. Hill, the freshman, played really well and Nelp had her in the game instead of Katia for the last 5 minutes. I can’t figure out why Cartwright who has a solid shooting touch cannot make free throws. Perryman did all the little things she does to help - rebounds, screens, etc. Levings did some nice things today.

Excellent game, and fun to listen to on the radio. The announcer they have for the women’s games is good.

This is the game we were going to attend in person as well, had we not been heading back to Texas for a funeral. We had hoped to see two games in person while we were in town. Those of you in the Tulsa area need to be attending every women’s game. They have a great team this year and we have enjoyed seeing them on ESPN+ all year. And you can’t beat the price.

So the greatness of Poindexter and Crawford may actually be stunting the growth of some of the younger players. Hill is a great example of that not really getting an opportunity to show off her ability to score as pretty much every possession is designed for Crawford or Poindexter. And they're great scorers but you need complementary scorers to those two to keep the D honest. Young was really good at that as she could post up or blow by just about anyone to get to the rim, and she was a good offensive rebounder. You could tell TU was a very different team when she was on the court and it kept opposing defenses off balance...Crawford and Poindexter got a lot more open looks when she was on the floor. If Hill can be a 3rd or 4th option (assuming Young can come back before the conference tournament), this team could be in business.
