We need something to watch to remember the better times.

Great game. Didn’t remember Thompson missing front end of 2 1 and 1’s in last few seconds. I’m sure I was biting my nails on those misses.

I actually like that old mid-court logo. Maybe it's just because we were good then...

The convention center crowds were fun with a ton of energy. I wish we could get that back in level of fandom/energy back in the Reynolds center.

I remember that game well despite getting loaded pre-game at Interurban.

Wasn’t that the same year we beat UAB in double OT, even with six or seven guys fouling out?

Not that year. Are you still at the Interurban?

One of the announcers mentioned that TU had a good recruiting class coming in
for the next season......That class included:

*Brandon Kurtz - Do everything center
*Greg Harrington - PG -Our all time assist leader...participated in 108 victories (from
memory.) A record at the time....
*Tony Heard - Great defender...Clutch shooter....Of those of us who saw it, who can
forget his falling out of bounds three @ SMU that sent the game into
O.T. for an eventual win.....

WAIT!! - Let's clone these guys....By position and skill set, they are almost exactly
what we need to add to our '23 recruiting class... :)

Man talk about memory lane. Even though I was in that crowd it's hard to imagine a crowd that loud anymore. That team was so much fun.

Ah, I remember that game. I remember a good chunk of fans wearing orange prison jumpsuits to the game to heckle Herren.

So the Herren brothers (he has an older brother named Mike) and a 6'10" center named Matt Attar (went on to play at Navy and then at Drexel) were my HS' basketball nemeses at Durfee HS in the late 80s and early 90s. I want to say in 1989 my HS upset Durfee in a district game that was on Friday the 13th and the leading scorer was a kid named Jason Baptista. The front page of the newspaper that Saturday AM was a picture of the PG and the caption "Jason Lives".

We all know Chris Herren's ordeals with drug addiction and apparently he is running a non-profit to help kids with addiction issues. His brother Mike was arrested last March on rape and indecent assault charges in Fall River, MA (the Herrens' hometown). Fall River is my French Lick to Woody's Hanover
