Last weekend, Tulsa basketball coaches were in Indianapolis, Dallas and Atlanta to evaluate top talent in the 2018 and 2019 classes. The result was a slew of new offers being extended to top prospects. Here's a look at the new offers and how those prospects performed last weekend, as well as an update on numerous other Tulsa recruiting targets...

I remember the days where if the coach offered and the player accepted on the spot, it was a done deal. Many times only 3 or 4 players were ever offered. Now it appears the coaches can offer but "not really" till the player accepts and even then can wait for a better player. In football this has led to commitments by players which many times turn out to be "placeholders" when players wait for better offers. This has happened in basketball hardly at all and I hope it doesn't. But with the coaches going overboard on offers, it is worrisome.

As Coach Abatemarco explained a few years go, the trend in basketball -- especially with the Top 150 kids -- is that you have to offer just to stay in the game. That's why you see so many more offers than you used to.
