Wow...

Typically, after a disappointing performance by my alma-mater, I'm "good" after a day or so...

In this case, I'm not "upset"...I'm almost fascinated how poor TU performed on such a "big stage".

Larry Lewis put it best in another thread...his disappointment is spot on...

This might not be an appropriate thread...but, since this forum is for fan comments, I'm gonna post it!

After I started thinking about the game, I began running through some previously bad TU performances...and quickly determined this may be the worst performance in TU history (or at least over the past 35 years)...

-Has TU ever lost this badly in a conference tourney (since 1980)...?
-Has TU ever lost this badly in any post season tourney (since 1980)...? I can only remember the TU-Duke game...
-Has TU ever lost this badly when they were more than a 5 point favorite?
-Did TU's current seniors ever get down 30 points in a game? (Memphis their freshman year?)

I was given a dose of reality several years ago. "The fans take losses way harder than the players do..."

So true...

Shaq's comment in the paper was interesting..."It's just a little disappointing". Interesting.

In summary - A historically shocking Friday...especially considering the circumstances with 9 seniors on the roster.
