SUCK ITTTTTTTTT OSU AND KANSAS ST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment of the year!!SUCK ITTTTTTTTT OSU AND KANSAS ST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly, neither may look good come March. K-State has some issues on offense they've got to get corrected or their going to fall well short of their projection.K State’s a good win. Have a feeling the OSU win isn’t going to look near as good come March.
OSU is good for a win against Kansas every year at GIABoth teams will benefit from a B12 schedule. All they need is to upset a couple of conference teams and they’ll help our “NET”.
Somebody needs to inform Gillen that they really wanted to to win to make up for the worst loss of their careers. On the radio after the game Rollo was saying how k state players were talking some serious crap before the game about how embarrassing it was to lose to Tulsa last year... “most embarrassing loss of my career” as one put it.
Glad we got this win... that guy can jiggle his bells all the way back to the little apple.
That tenacious, smothering D will get K-St back to the Dance next yr. The same could be said for TU's D....and if we can get a little consistency in scoring from certain players & shorten those scoring droughts which occur in every bloody game from 8-9 minutes to 4-5 minutes, the sky's the limit for us.I think KSU will have a great season once Weber coaches them into discipline.
If you're not going to be emphatic....SUCK ITTTTTTTTT OSU AND KANSAS ST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our lack of shooting from the three point line is not as bad, but a similar problem to our having to run the ball all the time instead of pass on the football team. Kstate could limit our passes to the interior because they didn't have to worry about us at the three pt line.Yes, those droughts are killers....They occur when we start playing perimeter
offense, because we are not great 3 pt. shooters... Getting it inside to Igbanu/
Jeffries makes us a lot more efficient, but sometimes, like against K-St., that
can be a very hard thing to do.....
One aspect of our vs. K-St. offense was pleasing.....Tap was obviously
moving better....That will serve us well going forward......
There is no reason we shouldn’t compete in the upper echelon of the league this season. If our crowds and students can keep it up, we can beat some of these good teams coming in. We have lots of opportunities to really get on the tourney radar.
They might not be ranked for long. They play LSU, SLU, & Utah St their next three games. Have a feeling they might lose one of those.Well Houston just became ranked and that will be our first conference game.. Hugeeee potential for a great win and start to conference play.

I believe you are right, they are all at home. I don't think those three wins would put them in the top 10, top 15 at best. Top 20 certainly. On the other hand if they were to run this gauntlet they could well be top 10 by then. I think these games are all on Houston's home floor.
Here's something else that should be really encouraging: we play heads up against two bruising Big 12 teams, especially the beef of K-St. No one on our schedule will physically intimidate us-no one! Both teams will benefit from a B12 schedule
Agree that K-State had the most imposing physical players I recall seeing. Not even Cinncy or UConn (when they were coming of the national championship) were that scary.
But most teams are bigger than we are. We have 1 player taller than 6'8" and he doesn't play. Falokun and Igbanu are pretty physical guys. I'm pretty sure Igbanu owns Fall and has for the last 2 seasons.Agreed. We kept saying look how much bigger these guys are than us. Very very impressive we held our own there. I think this game bodes very well for the rest of the schedule and our confidence going forward. One game at a time starting Thursday! I am reinvigorated for the season after this past week
And UNO is the end of finals-or near end of finals game that Haith's teams have struggled with. However, I think the excitement and emotion of the two wins last week will carryover, particularly if the students show up. This team wants to excite the crowd and responds when they are excited. That will be a plus for the AAC.
Exactly. When I saw the schedule it didn’t take long to see that this season was a tremendous opportunity and I’m so glad they’ve made the best of it so far.I had breakfast at my local place today and was amazed at the difference TU beating OSU and Kansas State made in the acknowledgement of TU basketball. If TU beats SMU or even UCONN, there is little thought or mention but to beat two Big 12 teams makes TU legitimate all of a sudden. Local fans have Big 12 tunnel vision as if those are the best 12 teams in the nation.
There were still plenty of empties at LSU game despite record & tiny arena. Way to go Kitty fans. As much as I hate all things UH, it's very difficult to hate K. Sampson-the best coach in the AACK!(with 2nd best & rising...Frank Haith)Well there’s a good chance Houston comes to town with a big fat ZERO in the loss column. They just beat a pretty decent LSU team in their new casino...errr....arena. And anyone griping about the Reynold’s Center being too small...UH just built the Fertitta Center with 7,000 seats. Houston has 30k students.
It was officially recorded as a sell-out meaning all of Fertita's corporate buddies that bought up the high donor seats couldn't be bothered with actually giving the tickets to actual people. We have a lot of those as well. There were still plenty of empties at LSU game despite record & tiny arena. Way to go Kitty fans. As much as I hate all things UH, it's very difficult to hate K. Broadcast crew said the Houston arena was the loudest venue they had been to this year. Surprised me.
