Thanks for the lists. It’s interesting that while some on here have ranted about Haith not hanging on to players we are far from the top of the list on transfers in and out. ECU and USF lost practically their entire teams to the portal. It looks like Temple had the least turnover but I don’t think we’ll know anything about any team in the conference until the season is a few games in because of the level of turnover.

East Carolina and Tulane look like they were basically raided by power teams. tell me Jayden Gardner wasn't actually handled by a middle money man to get him to transfer to Virginia. The portal is out of hand. Screw this immediate eligibility crap unless both the school and the player agree it's for the best.

And what does it say about Haith's recruiting that of all the players that transferred out, Joiner is the only one that ended up in a positive situation with probably a better chance at making the NCAA tournament then if he had stayed here for another year. The rest of those teams are dregs

We actually came out pretty well in the portal....We lost two experienced players (Joiner, who had
probably maxed out) at PG, and Richie (he of one rebound per game fame)......I thought we lost two
good prospects (Williams and Shumate), neither of which got much experience, and from their lack
of progress, not much coaching while they were here....

We gained three experienced players: Horne, who we know from season-before-last, Griffin, who
represents an upgrade at PG in my eyes, and Draine, an outside shooting specialist.....When added
to our 5 player recruiting class, our roster now looks to have more ability for the upcoming season,
and better overall potential going forward......

As always, player retention and development will play a role in our ability to improve from season
to season....Let's hope this group will stay and reach their full potential with us.....

Wonder if Bryce Thompson will re-enter the portal now that OSU is playing a meaningless season this year. NCAA denied their appeal and they will not be eligible for the NCAA tournament this year
