Tulsa faced the defending National Champion Tarheels at the Mabee Center who had a roster of Michael Jordan , Sam Perkins, Matt Doherty, Buzz Peterson, and Steve Hale (from Jenks) North Carolina went on to win the ACC and ranked 8th in the Final Poll of the year. Steve Harris had one of the best nights of his career in this game. Video unfortunately starts with 3 minutes left in the first half but there is plenty of good action to follow. One of the biggest upsets of all time for TU.
